Hasn't the Obama campaign already established that even showing full speeches is taking a quote "out of context" if it ends up sounding bad? That was his reaction to Republicans showing the "you didn't build that" speech in it's entirety.

You have to be the first person ever to call Bill Maher a 'great mind'

It might not as even lower info voters than those watching Fox will be bombarded by tens of millions of dollars worth of adds spouting the same lies. In fact Ryan's speech was just an artful stringing together of the various deceptive/lying 30 seconds spots.

Even worse are all the attempts to suppress the Democratic vote, whether dishonest voter "fraud" ID requirements are running lots of spanish speaking adds faulting Obama for not having immigration reform which the GOP nearly always opposes unless just massive deprtation programs.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ ratings top RNC, Paul Ryan veep speech on Fox

The latest episode of TLC’s ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ drew more television viewers than cable coverage of Paul Ryan’s highly anticipated speech to the GOP convention Wednesday night, says Nielsen.

My first question when I read your opening comment was "Will the mainstream media point out Obama's and Biden's lies?" Also, will the so-called "fact checkers" actually check out the facts, and will they check out the "facts" (i.e., mud) that the Democratic campaign is spewing out?

Personally, I hope that in the first presidential debate Romney puts a bucket of mud in front of Obama and asks him if having the mud handy makes Obama feel more at ease.

You're worse at jokes than you even are at politics. How is that even possible?

I so, however, look forward to watching Biden implode during the VP debate.

Refman, I am sort of surprised since Biden is a lawyer with lots of experience debating and being a politician. While Biden can be informal at times, I don't expect this when given a chance to prepare.

I think the expectations for Ryan will be sky high and while he will do ok he won't blow Biden away and will somewhat disappoint his admirers.

I do agree that it is the debate that is worth watching as I suspect the debate between Romney and Obama could be a bit of a snoozer between two cautious guys.

Ah, yes, I should realize that you would silence, if you could, all those who oppose your views. But, in answer to your observation, I was not joking nor was my intent to be humorous. A bucket of mud in which to wallow would probably make Obama more at ease since his only political ammunition would be readily available.

Biden has been so much of a loose cannon recently that he makes Newt Gingrich look reserved. I do agree that the Romney-Obama debates will be sleep inducing as neither will likely say anything other than the same stuff their commercials are saying and their handlers have approved.

Yes, he will. A lawyer vs. an executive with shady business practices who can't make up his stance. It's gonna be a massacre.

I think a better question would be "Will mainstream media press Paul Ryan on his lies?"

Let's face it, the media can report the hypocrisy in Ryan's RNC speech, but most people will never take note of it unless it's repeatedly emphasized. Paul Ryan has built an entire persona around being the thoughtful, fiscally responsible numbers guy. That's an identity that he STILL retains, even though it's been a few weeks since I first saw him get called on his stimulus flip flopping. Most people, much less his supporters, have no idea that he voted for the stimulus.

This is why dishonesty and hypocrisy are so common among politicians. They KNOW they can get away with it.

It's odd how accepting you folks are that they will not seriously debate anything.

In the end, the same guys write laws for both sides, the same guys buy the Congressional and Senate seats. It's like arguing over what color car to buy when everything under the paint is the same.
