Nope. Look at the great job Brand and Miller are doing carrying the Clippers to the playoffs. Nuff said.

Peace. Just saw that you have been registered here for a long time. There was some other guy who had also said "Move Francis to SF" and he was a troll.

Why do people keep suggesting trading Mobley to the Clippers and thinking they would take it? The Clipper have Maggette and they're about to lock him up. Why would they want Mobley's contract?

Steve would be a shooting guard with Posey and Rice at small foward

    no way in hell.

steve is on another level from andre miller easily. miller is the better pure pg sure but when was the last time a pure pg was essential to winning a championship? magic johnson i guess. steve offers twice the leadership, twice the heart, and the ability to give the rockets a completely different look by dominating from the outside say if ming is double-teamed or fatigued. it's not even close at all.

brand is better than eddie now and maybe for the next 10 years but griffin is only 20 and as he grows with yao we can have a defensive 2-headed monster. his post game has really come alive over the last 5 games and it's just the beginning.

YES!!! if you want to have 15-24 records instead of 23-15, go to the lottery, and pick Lebron. But Rockets can't have the first draft anyway. So No...no...no...no...no.... 1000x. Next innovative question please.

another asinine thread. of course the rockets would rather have miller and brand. brand is a lot better than griffen and miller and francis are about even. miller is a better point guard but steve is a better combo guard.

What about trading Yao and Mobley for Brand and Miller?

    Then, we will have

    Miller (15 ppg, 10 apg)
    Francis (25 ppg, 6 apg)
    Posey (10 ppg, 5 rpg)
    Brand (25 ppg, 10 rpg)
EG in 2 years (20 ppg, 10 rpg)

    Not bad huh...

No thanks to any of the trades mentioned, especially trading YAO...that's crazy. I mean c'mon, he's got a frickin' theme song and a fan club that dances around on the court at half time. That's called $$$ boys and girls, no way he leaves, not immediately, or on the slow boat to China (*sorry*).

Yao is the Man, Francis is the Man VP and the Rockets are going to be tough, tough, tough for the remainder of this season.

    Bring on the Spurs

As much as I would like to see Brand on the Rockets...

No to the first scenario. Francis is Top 5 in the NBA, which means untradeable to me.

Maybe to the second mentioned by Hottoddie. I don't think LA would do the deal and I don't think Houston could afford it. Miller is up for a contract which will probably be at or above Mobley's, then Brand is a MAX contract already. The Rockets won't be able to afford that will they? With Rice retiring maybe, but then Ming will be up for big money soon after. I don't think the numbers would work with Cato/MoT contracts and 2 MAX deals. Would they?

There are questions I want to ask for a long long time:

Are we over the cap this season? Do we have to pay salary tax?

And I know Steve's max contract will start next season so will we be over the cap next season if we keep all our current players ?

I would have to say yes. Brand/Yao would be very formidable up front. But, they play with arguably more talent than Francis and Griffin do. I have no idea why they aren't winning.

Calm down. I am just being sarcastic. :D

I never understand why people rate Elton Brand so highly. Some even put him in elite group and superstar status. Ridiculous. Okay he put up 20/10 every night but then why does he win so few games? It's not as he's not surrounded by talents. KG, Duncan, etc all have less talent alongside them but they are winning far more games. If I was a GM, I wouldn't give a max contract to Brand either.

And oh I forget to state my opinion for this thread

I like Francis, EG and Yao. I wouldn't trade them for the whole Clippers roster.
