He looks like he's staight out of the movie, Hoosiers, yet he's one of the biggest reasons Duke is undefeated right now. Yesterday he broke the record for the most points scored in a game, by a Duke freshman...and that's saying something. I'm going to love watching this kid for four years. He probably doesn't have much of a future in the NBA, but I think he could go down as one of the greatest college players ever. He's got the best shooting stroke I've ever seen.
I would disagree. I think he does have a future in the NBA. Hell, he's a more effective player than Duhon already, just as quick if not quicker (laterally, in terms of getting off his shot) He sold me in the Mickey D's game last year -- he's not just a Teddy Dupay type chucker -- he's got decent size for a 2 guard and I think he'll definitely have a role in the NBA as an instant offense sixth man type.
I agree, whenever he catches the ball hes always squared to the basket its freaking crazy wish i could catch and shoot the ball in like that.
While he IS a great shooter, I think that the only team he can succeed for is the Lakers. Another Dukie, Trajan Langdan aka Alaskan Assassin, was also a great, undersized shooter that never made it.
Random thought: Speaking of great shooters and the Lakers, was that Kareem Rush's best professionaly night ever the other day? 5-8, 3 boards, an assist and one turnover. Essentially he made no mistakes and came in and did his role perfectly. His normal averages are 11 minutes and a little over 3 points. He got 23 minutes on Friday. If he concentrates on just being a good role player he can slowly become a solid asset for the Lakers, and, a couple of years down the line, I would not be surprised to see him as an instant offense 6thman shooting guard.
