Just a hypothetical question here.. If you replace LeBron from 07 with LeBron from this past season, do the Cavs win the title against the Spurs in 2007?
It was already posted so I changed the topic to something else I was curious about that I've seen elsewhere asked. I've seen a few of those kinds of vids though, this one was one of the better ones though.
Nope He didnt play any different than he usually does. Still cant make a jumpshot at an adequate rate (shot 17% from outside the paint in the NBA finals). The OKC Thunder instead of imposing their will and using a 3 big man rotation went small and put Durant at the 4 and it cost them...it played right into Lebron's hands. You put a usual two big man lineup out there on defense vs Lebron he'll have his problems
No, the entire Spurs D would still be focused solely on Lebron, his supporting cast would still be **** as well. I don't see any way that Cav's team could've won.
2007 was one of Ginobili's two best seasons Duncan was 30 and still the Spurs best player Parker wins Finals MVP Forget about the Cavs ... Spurs 2007 would have beaten Miami 2012
The team around LeBron in 07 was a joke. This is the first time (LeBron joining the Heat, not just 2011-12) that LeBron has played with true All-Star/Superstar(s). Tim Duncan had the Admiral and then Parker/Manu Kobe had Shaq/Horry followed by Pau/Lamar Detroit had Billups/Hamilton/Prince/Big Ben/Sheed Pierce managed to stay long enough to get Allen and Garnett (Rondo showed up) Dirk had Kidd/Terry/Chandler Now Lebron has Wade and Bosh. You cant win in this league without 2-3 stars. Jordan had Pippen for all of his championships and was surrounded by GREAT role players k.
as good as he is, the team around him was terrible. However, I'll make the argument that if it was 07 Kobe on that Cavs team, they wouldn't have gotten swept. The argument is that Kobe was good enough to give the Suns trouble, and the Suns gave the Spurs some trouble as well. Kobe's weakness is that he doesn't utilize his teammates enough, which ultimately a bad thing. But on a team w/o another dependable star player, Kobe would've shined like he did against the Suns (less so in 07, but more in 06 against pretty much the same Suns)
This was their starting line up: LBJ Gooden Big Z Sasha Hughes It is probably the worst team to ever make the finals. Lebron had to score 25 in a row to get that team to the finals. That playoff series is when I realized LBJ had arrived.
This. At best Lebron and the Cavs win maybe one or two games. I wouldn't be surprised if they still got swept.
I hope the Rockets tank and try their hardest to get Andrew Wiggins <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DNi4iOu9NCU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No way they wouldn't have beat the spurs. However the 2012 LeBron would have easily beaten then 2011 mavs.
Did you see the Cavs roster that year? They should have lost to the Pistons. This year's Lebron would probably get them 2 games max.
