Anybody go out and buy it tonight? I was going to but something came up, and I hear that no 2 tackles are the same. If so, that's awesome!
thanks, now if i could only get one of the mouth breathers at a walmart near by to pick up the damn phone.
bought for ps3 for free online play, couldn't find a definitive answer for which version might be better. does it matter?
EA games are typically developed on 360 then ported to PS3. Madden may be different but 360 version usually performs and looks slightly better.
Got a chance to play one game last night. I love the passing game. The receivers actually break routes to go to the ball. And DBs seem to have a noticable disadvantage, the way it should be. Also, it's good to see arm tackles being broken by bigger stronger ball carriers.
Got the game for 360. The game speed is way too fast/loose. I think there are sliders to kick it down a notch. I'll try that when I get home. Physics have really improved but are bit TOO rag doll-y. You get things like random legs hanging from the knee. Despite this, I love the tackling system. It truly feels like I have a chance to break away every single time. On defense, it feels like I have to tackle correctly instead of just lunging for a big hit. Good game
I bought through ToysRUs.com with the free shipping ($45) so I won't get the game till next week. I don't normally play sports games online, but I guess if someone starts up a PS3 league I'd check it out.
Been playing a lot with the ultimate team feature, really enjoying it. Gamertag on 360 is Zaque, if anyone starts a league let me know.
Is anyone else having trouble with their servers tonight? I'm trying to resume my Connected Career and getting errors over and over again
My initial reseponse, anger. I play Franchise, it's all I do, it's all I've done since forever. It sucks to have the developer dump the only thing I really cared about in favor of something that resembles World of Warcraft or Fable more than football. I now have to spend more time with their stupid quests than I do actually playing football if I want my team to progress. I did not buy this game to practice offense and gain 1,000 XP, practice is not fun. I bought the game to play actual football games, I also had enough imagination to develope my on quests within the scope of what I was already given. I did things like win Superbowls, a hell of a goal. I also peppered the Records books with Texans; like making Andre Johnson the single greatest receiver ever to put on a set of pads and ultimately playing him into the hall of fame. I did it in the context of playing real football not by playing some bull**** "start the 4th quarter down by 14pts and get so many XP points" scenario. I guess for the guys that don't care for franchise the gameplay is better but I will sure miss it and am disappointed that my favorite sports franchise which I've played since I was a kid has been turned into some role playing game where at least initially it appears I'll spend more time doing these quests than actually playing "real" football games.
