DM will trade Kevin Martin, Marcus Morris, and Patrick Patterson by the beginning of the season.

Jeremy Lamb will be our starting point guard by the end of the season.

First issue, Lamb is not a PG.

    Try again.

I think his body type is better suited for that position.

He likes to shoot. He does that well. He creates for himself. Let him!

Let Lin create for others and Lamb do what Lamb does.

    It's a silly proposal.

I will put money that he does not finish the season as the starting PG.

    My dream:

The Rockets come out and way over-excede expectations. Jeremy Lin is averaging 15 points, 8 assists a game, but even more importantly he is running the offense well and bringing out the best in every player.

Kevin Martin comes back to 2010/2011 form with the addition of Jeremy to the backcourt. He becomes more efficient and averages 23 points a game, and everyone is so thrilled with him that they keep him past the trade deadline.

Chandler Parsons continues to grow as a play, and returns as our defensive specialist while expanding his rebounding/scoring game.

Patterson starts the year as the Rockets incumbent started, and is traded. If either D-Mo or Terrence Jones blows up, then you have a great power forward to a solid team.

At center, Omer Asik is the anchor of the defense, and rounds out the Rockets starting lineup. They are a surprise playoff team and knock off Spurs in a 3-6 seed matchup game.

Royce White becomes the starting PG
Jeremy Lin will become a Jason Terry like 6th man and gets slot 6th man of the year votes

D-Mo will be our starting PF by the end of the season. Kevin Martin will play out the rest of his contract here and walk after a first round exit in the playoffs. We will spank the Lakers in at least one game. (We always seem to play them hard.) Marcus Morris will stay buried on the end of the bench until Morey is forced to unload him.

I know this isn't necessarily under the radar, but with the emergence of Paul George, Danny Granger is very, very available. I would take him as a mentor to some of these young bucks in a heartbeat. Not to mention the guy's a legitimate 20 point scorer.

Lamb's biggest strength is shooting off of screens and moving without the ball, how does he do that if he's a pg? Also he's not a great defender, if he has trouble stayin in front of quick sg's and he lacks strength how will he stay in front of pg's. I can see the rest of your predictions happen but I guarantee you lamb will not be a pg....

I'm sure your right, but my reasoning is the following:

I think he can gain lateral quickness a lot easier than gaining strength. I believe he is undersized in his current position. I think he can develop passing abilities as well to be a good distributor.

I kinda wanted to make an outlandish prediction just to make it fun.

Jeremy Lin has a good year, scoring well and cutting down on his turnovers.
Kevin Martin bounces back from last season, shooting 40% from 3 and drawing fouls at a high rate, but is traded at the deadline. Jeremy Lamb becomes the started with Delfino backing him up.
Chandler Parsons has a similar season as last, playing good defense and passing well but struggling with his shooting and scoring at a low rate.
Patrick Patterson rebounds to rookie year form, but still loses his starting job to Terrence Jones, who has an all-rookie year.
Omer Asik is a defensive and rebounding weapon, but still has next to no offense.
Motie takes spot minutes at the back up center position.

Rockets make the 7th seed for the playoffs and are eliminated in the first round.
