Are ranged warriors viable? I was under the impression warrior was a strictly melee class but I found out you can use a rifle so I use that and a greatsword and weapon swap. Also I seem to be having trouble keeping up in levels to my main quest. I feel like I've done every heart/random event/place of interest I can see on the map within my level but I'm still 2-3 levels behind my main quest and can't find anything else to do.
every profession in this game can be ranged or melee a lot of warriors use rifle because it's very good, and it keep them safe during boss fights where melee is usually fodder

So I was able to transfer to Blackgate last night because they increased the cap. When I was transferring it said I would not be able to log in for 1-2 minutes due to the transfer taking place. Cant log in at all, even this morning. The transfer is currently broken. You will not be able to play at all if you use that option right now.
That's odd, a friend of mine was able to transfer to my server. He did it around midnight, I also see Anet giving all these updates on login issues from FB and I haven't had trouble logging on at all. The problems seem to be selective? idk.
Yeah they have acknowledged this problem. Just have to play the waiting game. There are several login issues and in game bugs right now that can make the game unplayable for you.
Man... the questing is really fun and fresh but the level gain is soooo slow. As a human Queensdale is supposed to take you from 1-17. I've done EVERYTHING in Queensdale (except that swamp monster that shows up once or twice a day apparently) and I'm still level 14. I'm forced to do higher level quests and it's pretty annoying. One main quest mission will have a recommended level of 15 then the very next quest is recommended level of 19. Pretty frustrating for a first time GW player.
You can go to different starting zones to pick up more quests at the same level if you're running out.
