We went to an all white team to a diverse team Taiwanese pg Black SG White sf Lithuanian pf Turkish C
Hahahahhahah..... hahahaha OP has to be trolling. This board has truly gone overboard in overrating this team.
there will be a point during the season when delphino will be our sg (not starting but on the court to play sg) at that time we will have 5 players from 5 different nationalities. Thats got to be a record of some sort
I won't disagree with the Lamb and Kobe matchup but do you really think that Lin will have trouble matching up with Nash? Seriously? Lin is what 24 and very quick isn't he? 1) So on defense he shouldn't have any problems at all staying in front of Nash. Nash is not going to blow by him. (not talking about the Lakers running their PnR's...most pg's have trouble defending that) 2) And on offense Lin should be able to get into the paint anytime he wants WITHOUT having to use the PnR's. That is going to cause some problems for the Lakeshow. Do I think we stand a chance at beating them? No not at all. But you could have chosen a different matchup to talk about than Lin and Nash. I see that as our best matchup.
Naw man. I think Parsons and Artest are out best match up. Nash will probably school Lin. It has to be that way. Nash maybe old but he is a veteran and he is still playing at an absurdly high level. With his ****ing no look passes. It will be an interesting match up but I give the nod to Nash.
Listen, I luv me some Nashty! Having been a short white pg all of my life, he is one of my top 5 favorite players in the league and I always try to watch him whenever I can. But listen, Nash is going to have his hands full whenever the Lakeshow plays us; his D won't be getting better with age. I wish I knew how to attach a short youtube clip here...it shows Lin's "Sports Science" data and if you take a look at the link, or just read what the clip will show, you will understand why I am saying that Lin is a bad matchup for Nash. Sure Nash is going to have some really sweet no look passes etc. (especially on the fastbreaks) but in the half court he will not be getting by Lin on a blow-by (like Westbrook) or on a sick cross over (like Rose) or some fancy dribbling (like Wall). With their current team, the Lakers will probably be running a lot of half court sets and I think that Lin is quick enough to get up all over Nash without having to worry about Nash getting by him (like I said before, I am not talking about the PnR's). Take a look at the clip or read about it below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W77hUoRwI6Y "The ESPN Sport Science team looked at the elements that help Jeremy Lin on the court: quickness, dribble penetration and a rapid release. ESPN’s research shows how he matches up with some of NBA’s elite players. On quickness, he’s compared to John Wall: “Within three strides, he can accelerate from essentially zero to roughly 10 MPH in less than one second. That’s acceleration on par with 2010 No. 1 draft pick John Wall.” On dribble penetration and spin moves, Lin is compared to Derrick Rose: “Spin moves that measure at nearly 900 degrees per second, that’s almost as fast as spin speeds measured from the league’s reining MVP, Derrick Rose.” On his quick release on threes, Jeremy Lin gets lumped in with Ray Allen : “Getting up three’s on average in only 0.60 seconds, that’s faster than the average release time of the greatest three-point shooter of all-time, Ray Allen.” By the way, how would have I have attached that actual youtube video instead of just the link?
Well if he's smart enough to hack sites like that then I say he CAN definitely beat the Lakers himself. He can siphon all of the Laker's assets to the ROX and bam! Lakers go bankrupt and we can get everyone via amnesty wavers.
It's the other way around man. The rockets are going to have there hands full with the Lakeshow. Lin isn't dropping 38 on the Lakers again like everyone expects him too. We will see though. I still give the nod to the future HOFer pg over the young guy until I see otherwise.
I expect us to get demolished in 2 of the games, lose a nail-biter in one, and then win on a game-winner in the last game. Crazier things have happened though.
