    Let the rumors begin.

If this new one isn't a quad-core phone, I'll be disappointed.

Hmm...nice to see it back in the light.

I'm up for an upgrade, but I'll wait.

What's the deal with Samsung? They really are stingy with the processing power here in the US. Just throw it on there man. We're Americans we love stuff we don't need.

Think they're concerned about LTE (maybe battery life too to some degree). Don't think the more powerful chips have integrated LTE. Thought this implied a Qualcomm chip (ala Galaxy S3), although was reading something about how that might not work for a Nexus device (they don't release their source or something). Maybe they can get LTE working with other chips for this device.

Or if they are going to do multiple Nexus devices, this could maybe be the cheap/mainstream Nexus device (Google can sell for ~$300 or maybe less).

I saw some other rumor/leak that showed a Xperia Nexus and Optimus Nexus (along with Galaxy Nexus II I believe) being listed in Japan. Didn't really investigate any further to see how legit that was though.

Glad the SD card slot is back.

With unlimited data back on T-Mobile, it's gonna be a tough decision in the coming months.

The writer of another article I read was disappointed in the rumored specs and wondered if Samsung had "given up" on the Nexus line because it doesn't sell all that well. With this line of reasoning, Samsung would wait until the Galaxy S4 in 2013 to introduce quad core phones.

I believe Google and partners will have a strong answer for the holidays to the iPhone 5. IMO, they can't afford not to.

I plan on waiting to see before upgrading any of our phones but my son is very tempted by the S3. If Samsung, Sony, LG, HTC or whoever doesn't have a compelling Nexus phone later this year, I'll wait on the S4 in early 2013. It will definitely be quad core and come with Key Lime Pie (or Kandy Kane).

br0ken_shad0w, I reviewed the shared plans on Verizon and AT&T and thought about making a move. But with T-Mobile's recent announcing on unlimited, non-throttled data, I'm not going anywhere. Another reason to wait until the S4 in 2013 is the T-Mobile version will probably be LTE.

? samsung already released a quad-core sg3 overseas and a quad core lte-friendly sg3 in korea (but you probably meant here in the states anyhow, so nevermind :) ).

not sure if there's been any rumors of the latter landing later (say that three times really, really fast) this year, but i'll bet you around black friday it'll be here stateside along with the new nexus(es).

I'm still sticking with the Nexus. Jellybean honestly changed everything for me in terms of performance. ICS was terrible on the Galaxy Nexus and the TI Omap 4460. So long as they put a Exynos in there, it should be okay.

no way they would let their flagship stay dual core, the tablet is already quad

the whole point of not buying an iPhone is because the hardware of android phones surpasses that of their nemesis; the nexus is a gadget lover's phone, the ones who worship specs above all else

this move doesn't make sense and doesn't seem legit

No it isn't. The Nexus phones have never been top of the line hardware wise when they release. The biggest draw is the software and lack of bloatware, not the latest and greatest hardware.

They should go with Motorola since they, you know, own them now.

And Motorola's hardware is pretty sweet.

I've always liked HTC's design. Would be awesome to see it back with HTC.

Nebulus? Pff. At least wait for the Samsung Quasar S. it will make the Nebulus look archaic.

I can't wait more than a few weeks. Guess I'll go ahead and get the GS3. But at&t's two year deal is gonna come back to bite me I'm sure. How much is the T-Mobile unlimited and how long is the contract?

I need to compare it to a shared data at&t plan. Uuuugh I hate this ****.

I'd be happy if all of that is true except for the non-removable battery and lack of micro SD card slot.
