I have to say that Steve is learning how to play with confidence at the end of the game. This is the first season where I have noticed that he is becoming the go to guy at the end of the game and now he is ready for the challenge. Overall though our help D was what won the game. I cannot believe we stopped Kobe with no time left. Great D from Posey and Ming.
Well said. Steve was phenominal tonight. And those Ming haters, this is one game where the stats COMPLETELY mislead. Shaq was helpless agaist Yao until overtime fatigue got to him. I give credit to Shaq for playing a clean game, and those two embraced each other before and after the game like men.
The key is consistancy. If Steve had played the game 2/3 of this good on all our previous games, we might have had 35 wins now. Keep up the good stuff and try to eliminate the bad habits. Championship ring might be just days counting.
Steve for MVP??? Francis is still the man. All this hype about Yao is getting out of hand. Lets not forget we have one of the best guards in the league and his name is Stevie Franchise! Im glad Stevie finally got to the 40pt mark for the first time in his career.
That's bullsh*t man! We need to trade Steve for Andre "the savior" Miller. He's a true point guard. If we had Miller, he would have dropped 50 pts, 20 assists, and 10 rebs tonight.
This game was a real turning point in Steve's career. He showed a lot of veteran leadership, and very unselfish play whenever the spotlight was on him. I smell a championship ring coming soon. GO ROCKETS!
Almost forgot. Us hornfans had a term for all the Simms bashers: haters. The same can be said for Steve: F the Haters!
I believe this game has taught Steve and the rest of the team a lot. I hope this helps them get over the hump and make a deep playoff run. Now the team has to be careful of a let down. This is a very important string of games for the team. Bring on San Antonio and Dallas!!!
I've never been a Steve hater but I was ready to choke him and Cuttino tonight. The two let the Lakers back into the game halfway through the fourth with their street ball mentalities. Dribble, dribble, drive. Dribble, dribble, drive. Dribble, dribble, drive. Dribble, dribble, drive. Over and over. There was no movement. The only passing I saw in that stretch was from total desperation. The kind where you're 3 feet in the air and surronded by Lakers. Fortunately Rudy called a good play, which Steve finally decided to execute, with the high pick from Ming to take the game to overtime. I'm happy about the win, I'm just not happy how they got it. ISO's will not work in a 7 game series.
Sorry, but just because I think SF should play at shooting guard instead of point guard doesn't make me a SF hater. I still feel that SF should be the Rocket's shooting guard btw. In fact his performance tonight only shows how dangerous he could be, if he could simply concentrate on scoring, and let someone else distribute the ball. Raven
