    If this album is anything like the first Food and Liquor, then it's an automatic buy, no questions asked and I'm not even thinking twice about it. That album was an absolute classic.

    If it's anything like LASERS... then no thanks. Granted, I understand that it was a pretty major struggle for him on that album. But I made it through that album twice, and then I realized there were really just 3 songs that I actually kind of wanted to listen to.

    I'm really, really hoping for the former.

    Yeah post something by another chart topping artist that directly attacks REAL societal issues.

    He's in the limelight yet he keeps it real. I think that's pretty awesome.

    It's not just about the good lyrics, the song itself has pretty wack production. If album sounds like this I'm disappointed.

    That's the point though. It's production that the majority of people will like. It's very pop-ish.. Made for the masses so that they will listen to the message.


    Part 2 of F&L2 is gonna be the hip hop purists album, and according to lupe himself

    At this point he has come too far to have the same amount or less people hearing his words

    He is doing whatever possible to hit as many people with the lyrical process and "tighten some young screws"

    My impression, you don't have to agree. To me the released singles so far sound like typical mixtape stuff, and I mean the mediocre ones that get repetitive.

    Lasers isn't a bad album; it's still better than a sizable percentage of the mainstream crap that's come out over the past 10 years. However, it's still very disappointing compared to the outstanding albums F&L and The Cool.
