The way the story is written in the Chronicle, this is a non-issue. She is suing him for increased child support. It doesn't appear to be for non-payment. I would guess she asked for more, he said no and now she is letting the courts decide.

They had to be separated before January or Johnson has been running around on her. My aunt is good friends with a lady (this woman is 40 years old), who has been dating Andre Johnson for over a year. She came to our family Christmas party this past year, so of course I am going to bug her. She didn't look like anything super special, and she is like...way older than him. And here she is telling people she is dating Andre...right. That is until she showed me pictures on her phone to prove it to me. SA Boardwalk, some other pictures....and they looked like more than friends. She was one of those real genuine ladies, and I am almost positive she wasn't lying.

"Reese also claims Johnson recanted "reasonable child support" and has "earned millions of dollars in income as a professional football player," suggesting "$1,500 per month is sufficient" for his young daughter."

If $1500/Month isn't a reasonable amount for child support than maybe she should just relinquish custody.

I have no doubt that AJ meets all his daughter's needs and makes sure she has the best, the way a millionaire would for his daughter. (I could be wrong.) But, IMO the woman has no right to a large amount of money monthly so that she can live like a millionaire's wife... Because thats not what she is.

If it where me and I wasn't amicable with my BM, it would be the world for my daughter and rent/mortgage for her. TOPS

Threads like this are just proof that sports are basically becoming soap operas for men. Embarrassing.

If she can afford to hire those attorneys, she doesn't need anymore child support.

I love when people throw terms like "breach of fiduciary duty" around. I have to wonder if the judges just roll their eyes when they see terms like that. Child support is not a fiduciary obligation. It may be a legal obligation, but the parent/child relationship is not a fiduciary relationship.

This is something I've never been quite clear on. Is child support always re-adjusted after increases in salary? I've heard of guys who lost their jobs and couldn't get their child support decreased, but it seemingly always goes up if the salary increases.

My friend had an ex who wanted more. She didn't get anything extra and he makes 2-300k a year.

In Texas, the max you have to pay, regardless of income, is $1,500 for 1 child. He is doing exactly what he is legally obligated to do. The only thing she has a good case on is making him pay for the health insurance.

disagree that we're only allowe to talk about zone block schemes and blitz packages and coverage responsibilities

and if anything the OP is defending Andre's name to dull down any "salaciousness" that might come out of it.

If she has a job, $1500 is more than enough in child support IMO. She's just money grubbing. If she does get more, the judge should rule that a percentage of it goes to a savings fund of some sort that she can't use.

It doesn't matter. Once in Texas, the precedent has been set. In fact, there are more than likely stipulations that make her stay in the same county.

A condom is like 50 cents. Pro Athletes should just wrap it up.
