I understand now. Yao is trying to do the Bill Russell technique against Shaq (Wilt).

Shaq did seem try to bully or elbow Yao as he claimed,
he played pretty professional and the Refs have been doing a fine job for the game.

Time for Rudy to break his sub habits and bring Yao back in before the 6:00 mark.

Why does he stay on the bench so long? Goodness gracious, we've gotta suck it up and play through pain and fatigue in these big games. Steve still rules.

Rudy please call a time and stop making Yao play shaq's game when he's guarding Shaq. hints: Shaq has problem w/ pick and rolls.

Did anyone see B on ESPN?

I swear I saw him when they went back to Walton, Tirico, and Tolbert.

Anyone see him or am I imagining things?

All you stat junkies who can tell me:

When was the last time Shaq got blocked:

5 times in a game?

4 times in a game by the same player?

4 times in a row?

3 times in a row by the same player?

    I can't think of any!

    Awesome Game!

Sure Shaq scored 30, but at least 8-10 were on Cato. Just wait until Yao pumps the iron and builds his stamina....he will be an even greater force!

You have just seen a taste of the future for years to come!

I am very excited about the win, but, we still made a lot of unnecessary mistakes: meaningless turnovers, questionable play calling and Rudy didn't call time-out toward the end of the regulation even when the players were expecting him to do so! They were leading by 4 points at the time. As a result, the players lost focus and looked lost. And the Lakers scored right back.

Yao Ming is our most mature player.

    Props to Francis, great game.

    Fun game, good win.

Yao definitely needs to be more aggressive to the hoop, but he wasn't intimidated by Big Daddy. The dunk near the end was a great show of spunk.

10 pts 10 boards, 3 assists and 6 blocks is definitely not too shabby against the Big Aristotle.

Yeah, he had about 4 shots that kissed the rim and came out. He usually makes those. Yao could have had 20 points easily, but we won!!

I don't suppose I can add to much to what has been said, but...Wow...I was thoroughly impressed by Eddie Griffin blocking Shaq once last year (see the billboard of Eddie, that's the one), but Yao blocking him FOUR times, and three of those on dunk attempts...He didn't shoot well, but that's still a powerful case for ROY! Go Rockets! Go Yao!

Oh yeah, Stevie played a damn fine game too, more than enough to shut up the people who whine about the guard-oriented offense. Which reminds me, Cat had a phenomenal game as well.
