I have all of the episodes on dvr but haven't watched any after episode 4. Should I finish watching it? Do they actually reveal the killer in the finale?
Wow, I just finished watching it and didn't even realize that was the season finale. What a freaking waste of time.
I now the season already ended last week but I found this article worth reading that lists all the ridiculous coincidences that have occured. Made me chuckle by how the absurdity just flew over my head while watching the show. http://www.avclub.com/articles/orpheus-descending,57743/
Wow, I guess I should have actually looked at the monitor when watching this instead of just streaming it off of Amazon for background noise while surfing.
it has to be very hard to write credible episodes for a whole season following one murder. everyone agrees, the show died around episode four.
Murder One did it back in 1995, but that was the only good example I've seen of that format. Daniel Benzali, Stanley Tucci, and Stanley Kamel did a great job. Of course, after a brilliant first season they axed most of the cast and put Anthony LaPaglia in the lead as they drove the series into the ground in the second season. This Killing sounds like absolute garbage. I'm glad I decided to wait until after the season and gauge people's reactions.
Has anyone been watching the 2nd season? So far its pretty good. They answered alot so far from last season. I was quite impressed with yesterdays episode. CW
The first season killed my interest for this show. It was a long, drawn out goose hunt that went in circles with no real substance at all. I'll continue to wait until the end of this season before giving it any more thought.
This show is absolute rubbish. When S2 was premiering, I thought it was an April Fool's joke. The joke was on me because I actually gave S2 a chance. Done giving it the benefit of the doubt.
The Killer will be revealed within the next week. Anyone still keeping up? I have been very impressed with the acting on this show this season.
Yeah I am watching. I've enjoyed this season. The one thing that really bothers me though is how they totally gloss over the fact that Stan is somehow a free man with seemingly no big concerns of the law after nearly killing a dude.
I've been keeping up and just watched the last 2 episodes on DVR. I assume it will end next week since the killer is finally revealed and the ratings aren't good. The show had potential and was well acted but the plot dragged on way too slowly. The writers didn't bother fixing the glaring #1 flaw.
Just got around to watching the last few episodes of the second season...and I will admit that the writers wrapped everything up really nicely if the series is indeed done. The last episode more than made up for the all the aggravation that the writers put us through with the plot dragging on at times and the weak cliffhanger to season one.
Totally agree with you. The last two episodes of the season were top notch! Very well done and well acted.
Well this show made it back. I agree with everyone that they completely botched what otherwise could have been a great show by the way they ended the first season. If they do that again this season, I'll stop watching. But I thought the acting was top notch, and while slow at times, I enjoy the pace. It is so different than typical American crime drama... it feels very European in its approach. Don't get me wrong, it's no Luther, but I think it does a good job of proving that you don't have to have frenetic pace to be a good show. that being the case, I stuck with it, and enjoyed season 2, and was definitely glad the whole "Rosie" thing was over. Glad it's back. So on to a new case. I think 2 episodes out so far, and so far I like these 2 episodes almost more than anything the first 2 seasons. For one, Holder is so well acted and to me a more interesting character than Linden, and it seems like if there's a "big" shift thus far, its that Holder is the lead character with Linden secondary. That's an improvement to me. For two, I like the direction of this murder case better already. It just seems more interesting than dead girl in the car with strange parents. There's still some annoying parts. The new character Bullet seems like she/he will be involved in the show a lot, and the character is overacted and annoying. Anyways, I'm a fan, glad its back.
