Finally!! Everyone in Houston are celebrating EID together. EID MUBARAK!! How did Ramadan Go for you?
Eid Mubarak brothers (and sisters?)! Hope everyone had a blessed month and many more blessings to come iA!
Eid Mubarak! Question to my arabic speaking friends- what is the proper response to "kul 3am wa antum bikahir"?
Eid Mubarak everyone! I'm not muslim but a lot of my friends are (what you get for living/growing up in houston i guess). I remember always biking to my friend's house as a kid for eid and gettin stuffed with food. Good times.
The end of Ramadan is an auspicious occasion. The end of 1 month of self denial, prayer and fast. But this does not mean the door is open to go back to our sinful ways! Let us not forget the sacrifices Mohamed (pbuh) made. The white woman is a tempting treat, but one that comes with too much sugar and who cannot be oppressed. She teases us with her tight body, her long legs, her bright eyes and her enthusiasm, but we must not forget it is our muslim sisters who understand us! Our suffering, our pain, our indoctrination to the faith of Islam. Let us not hide our women from the world, let us empower them to deal with it. We would be doing a great disservice to the religion by going back to our ways of underage p*rnography, self mutilation, DIY explosives and auto erotic asphyxiation. We must continue forward in our journey to build strength. We must take the momentum from holy months like Ramadan and make it a part of our lives, rather than forget it as a minor sacrifice that we do out of habit. If a life is lived without meaning and simply based on sensory pleasures, how are we different than the animals whose sole purpose is to eat, sleep and breed? A life without intensity is not much of a life at all, but one of fleeting sensations to satisfy our immediate cravings. That will lead you nowhere on the journey to the Holy Land. Asala Mala Kum, my brothers. Asala mala kum.
