The fact that rasputin believes Aerosmith is the greatest American band (or even a great one at all) is consistent with my obviously correct choice to ignore list him.

I've never been an Aerosmith fan, but since this is turning into a music discussion, what band is considered the best american rock band from that era? That question is subjective I guess

It's your basic suit and tie office schmuck on his way to work and he puts in some music in the car type of RATM fan. Doesn't really take the music seriously as to what the artist intended it to be. No big deal, but him publicly stating that raises the question of why he wants to bark up that tree, knowing he could get a soapbox speech from the artists themselves that basically summarizes in the form of a middle finger to him. Maybe he wanted a reaction, or maybe he casually mentioned it and didn't really care (probably that).

 

Well listening to something that you vehemently disagree with on every level because it sounds good is your choice but for a politician it shows he's a moron.

 

Dave Mustaine is only conservative Christian now, though, right? When he was cranking out his best work in the 80's and early 90's he was an alcoholic anti-war anti-authoritarian (and not in a Tea Party way). It was only after he almost died repeatedly that he found Jesus and decided Obama was the Kenyan antichrist.
