Could Kevin Martin be a potential Melo type locker room cancer??

Martin (if not traded) right now is projected to be the best player and scorer on the team. But are you guys a bit worried about his attitude and the possibility of him becoming a potential cancer?

Will he and McHale/Morey see eye to eye?
Will he get unhappy if he's benched in favor of Lamb and Delfino?
Will his ego get in his way if McHale runs his offense through other players instead of him?
Will he not be satisfied if he doesn't get enough touches and shots, especially in a contract year when he needs big numbers for the next contract?
Will he be jealous of the attention/hype Lin's getting and Lin's "overpaid" contract?
Will he deliberately tank in games if he's not happy with his coaches/teammates?

    Just wondering.

Nah. If he knows what's best for him, he will give it all he's got for a potentially better contract.

I am really floored about the fake "Kevin Martin" that the fans have created out of thin air.

There has never been any evidence of him being a cancer whatsoever.

Will he go back to being the most efficient scorer in the league?
Will there ever be any possibility that he will do anything good?

He was injured last year and right before his injury he put up some 20+ point games.

I hope Lamb does great but lets not forget that Martin is the second best 2 guard we have had in the past 20 years.

I need him for NBA2K13. That's the only reason I'm glad he's still here

Even if he does turn out to be a douche this season. I don't think any of the new young guns would really care.

They'd just put him on their ignore list.

That is silly No he won't. If Martin isn't traded I think him and Lin will play well together. Guys who can score the ball and who can move well without the ball compliment his style of play. Plus it takes pressure off of Lin and keeps the defense honest.

Kevin Martin is not close to Melo status and very far from Melo's head. Martin if frustrated will probaly show his unhappy face, but he would not talk much. I still say this, Martin has one of the quickest first step in the NBA. He should be the Rockets top scorer for the upcoming season.

Third best. Both Drexler and McGrady were better. Carry on.

Well, he did call out Morey. He's unhappy with McHale. He also showed his face when he's benched and when the going got tough. There are signs.

Really? Being the most senior player on the team, don't you think if he has poor attitude, it would poison the locker room and give a very bad example to the young guys?

    TRUTH.

He's not a cancer and never has been. He may have made one comment but I don't even remember. People think he is a cancer because he had a bad year (due to injury) and because he smiled once on the bench during a game.

If he's not traded, then we'll definitely need his scoring this year. He can average 20+. Who else on our team will average over 15? Lin? Not Parsons, not Ppat, and not Asik. Not Lamb or Dmo or whoever. When we're having trouble scoring then CFers will be glad that we have Martin. If he gets traded, we need to get scoring back, period.

Martin doesn't seem like a leader, from what I've read about him, but he seems like a good guy and his teammates like him. Go read some of his interviews, he's a cool guy. Everyone made this fake image in their head of him after someone took that still of him laughing on the bench.

He will play hard this season avg 20 pts a game and go unappreciated unless he is traded.

Anyways read this article so you can get a better picture of his personality. He is not a cancer.

    Exactly.

No stuff to gossip about? Great, let's just speculate what might happen out of thin air.
