He hits a good point, something the NBA needs to address.

JVG is the unofficial voice of the NBA. He is the unfettered voice of reason, unafraid of consequence and future punishments. I so, so, SO, respect his viewpoints and would love for him to be in the Rox org at some point again in the future. He is not just a lightening rod, he is the Teddy Atlas of the NBA. If you want the uncut dope, deal with Jeff. JVG for commissioner.

Maybe he can come back after McHale gets fired.

He'd know what to do with defensive players like Asik and Parsons.

Their fans can look forward to getting the number 1 pick next season.

So true. Not for him. Not for the franchise. I've never seen anything like it.

This. People keep saying that they want him back because of his candidness to criticize the league. But if he's back, he wouldn't be able to speak his mind like he is now. I'd much rather him be in this role than be our coach, or any team's coach.

The Magic front office hasn't been great, especially in this head-scratcher trade of Howard. But, they haven't been terrible. They've managed to put together some pretty good years -- the Shaq/Penny run the to the Finals, the offseason coup of Hill and McGrady (that was tragically crippled by Hill's injury), and some pretty good years with Howard. If there are fans to pity because they root for a team with terrible management, Magic fans would be half way down the list. First you've got to deal with the fans of the Bobcats, Clippers, Nets, Hornets, Wizards, and Warriors.

Fantastic interview. I really enjoy JVG's analysis in general. Glad to see him comment on the Dwight Howard trade, his future there, and how competitive balance in the NBA can be improved.

JVG is too deep for the NBA.

Since you guys put it like that, you could probably ask that about 20 other teams.

The answer's No. The ticket prices are ridiculous, and the team's never good.

And if you're bad and get the number 1 pick you get 7 winning years and then heartbreak.
