Many Seinfeld episodes and Simpsons episodes.

    Seinfeld:

The one where George and Jerry are thought to be gay
Any episode with Jackie Chiles ("the tobacco companies? I've been wanting to get a piece of them for years!")
    Soup Nazi
The Roommate Switch ("I can't be an orgy guy! I would have to get different clothes, grow a mustache, get robes, and lotions!")
    Many others

    Simpsons:

    Burns and his bear Bobo
Gabbo vs Krusty ("We never had a bad show except the time we had Ray Jay Johnson! groans You can call me Ray and you can call me Jay! That bit was funny for 2 seconds!")
    Cape Fear takeoff
    X-Files takeoff
most of the Treehouse of Horror episodes (the Homer clones are the all-time best skit of these)
When Bart breaks his leg ("Grace, some sinister kid is looking at me!")
    and many others

I ahve since learned that this episode is called "The Burning" and is the same one where they find out Puddy is religous.

For some good episode information for Seinfeld look here:

Ahhhhh. Super Monkey Death Car. I thought about that as a BBS moniker... :)

By the way, Buffy isn't a sitcom...

"Gazizza, my dilznoofuses. This is Bill McNeal comin' at you for Rocket Fuel Malt Liquor. Rocket Fuel has that upstate prison flava that'll make your feet stank! Drink Rocket Fuel! DAAAAMN! It's crizappy!"

    Oops. That quote should be:

"Gizziza Dilsnoofus, Bill McNeil saying get with the crizappy taste of Rocket Fuel Malt Liquor. Rocket Fuel's got the upstate prison flava that keeps you ugly all night long. So when you want to get sick, remember, nuthin' makes your feet stank like Rocket Fuel Malt Liquor! DAAAAMN... it's CRIZAPPY!!!

Arrrrrgh! Editing of posts have been turned off again...

Yeah, but since it is a hard show to pigeonhole (maybe Soap Opera?) and it has some rediculously funny stuff in it, I thought it was worth mentioning. It isn't like I brought up a sketch show like Mr. Show or the UCB.

That would be the one. When I saw "Cousin Larry" frozen into a wall of snow at the door, I laughed for 15 minutes.

Curb Your Enthusiasm. "You have an ass fetish, Larry."

One of the funniest endings I've ever seen.

OK I didn't make out the title right for this thread it should say: "What's the Funniest Episode of a Television Series That You've Ever Seen"

I have to put another as one of my definite favorite:

    Series: "South Park"

    Episode: #103 "Volcano"

Summary Uncle Jimbo and Ned take the boys on a hunting trip in the wilderness of South Park. Kenny ends up becoming Jimbo's favorite and the gang meets Scuzzlebutt who saves them from the volcano.

Uncle Jimbo: Well, here we are. Ok, each of you youngin's take a gun, a beer and some smokes.

Cartman: Hey, I didn't get a gun ... sweet. This is like the gun I used in 'Nam

Stan: You weren't in Vietnam, Cartman.

Ned: Were you stationed in Danang.

Stan: Cartman always makes stuff up Ned, you can't believe anything he says.

Cartman: Hey, I'll blow your friggin' head off.

Uncle Jimbo: Hey, look out son, that's dangerous. You're gonna spill your beer.

If I had to name the funniest Fawlty Towers, this would be it. I have seen each dozens of times, and I still laugh out loud.

without reading the rest of the thread i have to say "holy crap" b/c i thought no one else would pick this too. cheers was better than any show ever at adding new characters into the mix and this pretty much included all of them, had total chaos for an hour, and was hilarious from beginning to end. best show in television history. i eagerly anticipate it everytime nick @ nite starts the cheers repeats over and i have to wait through 10 seasons to get there.

2nd favorite - bart and lisa playing hockey on the simpson's. all of homer's quotes pitting bart against lisa are classic.

"two kids fighting for their parents love"

"so marge are you a lisa person or a bart person"

"the winner will be showered with praise, the loser with be booed mercilessly" (something like that)

and wiggum letting the prisoners out to see the game
wiggum- "if i let you out you have to promise to come back"
    snake - uh no
wiggum- well then you have to promise to not commit any more crimes
    snake - uh no
wiggum - i'll take that as a yes (and he lets them out)

#2. The "Square to Spare" episode of Seinfeld.

#1. The episode of Frasier where Frasier's dad pretends to be gay.

hell yeah, me too, then i ended up watching magnum pi right after because i was too lazy to change channels. :) the best was when the wb had newsradio in their lineup with seinfeld and friends. i hate will and grace... worst show ever.

    my favorites are:

practically all seinfeld, especially, "the ass-man" episode, "the cigar-store indian" and when they got lost in the shopping mall.

the best newsradio has to be the sandwich machine and also when bill got locked up in the insane ward with jon lovitz. classic.

Simpsons - There are so many good ones, I could never choose.

Newsradio - the one where Matthew becomes incredibly smart.
