On balance, it seems pretty clear that We are worse than the following teams: West -- Lakers, thunder, spurs, grizzlies, clippers, Dallas, Nuggets, jazz holes, Blazers, wolves, and warriors East -- heat, bulls, celts, pacers, Philly, Hawks, Kicks, bucks, Nets That leaves us with Suns, kings, hornets, bobcats, Wizards, Cavaliers, pistons, magic, raptors I would probably rank these bottom teams as follows... Raptors Cavaliers Hornets Rockets/pistons/suns/Orlando Kings Wizards Bobcats The 2013 draft is regarded as a 2 franchise player draft.. Nerlens and shabazz If we finish as the 5 seed in the lotto, I think that means we have 18.5 percent chance of picking 1 or 2. If we are sixth, we have 13.4 percent chance of picking 1 or 2. Can someone confirm that this is roughly correct? I found this on the interweb but wanted to confirm. I think will be in the 5 to 6 seed in the lotto. I was surprised to find our chances of landing 1 or 2 to be decent. Too bad the Toronto pick is top 3 protected.
I don't think toronto will ever be bad enough to receive a top 3 pick. Lowry will make sure that won't happen.
The rockets will lose a lot this year. We have a whole new team and it's full of kids. We have Lin and ? at pg. Lin wil score 20+ ppg because he is good and someone has to score. But teams will load up on on bc there is now low post threat and inconsistent three point shooting. Kmart will be gone when the right trade offer comes up. Lamb will learn but well below your league average sg. At sf, parsons is a good role player on a good team, but he will have to grow his game to take on more responsibility on offense. Delfino or Royce as backup is strictly ok at best. At pf, Patterson likely starts, which makes him one of the worst starting Pf in the league. Donuts or jones will back up and learn as rookies. In short, we will get throttled a the pf spot n a nightly basis, and have no post up threat. Asik starts and will be an average center overall, and backed up by donuts. Thank goodness there aren't a ton of quality centers of there. Folks, it will be fun to watch this team learn, but we are going together our asses kicked on most nights. Scoring and closing out games is going to be a huge problem for this team.
Yeah the nuggets owned us all last year, and they've done nothing but get better while we've done nothing but get worse.
You forgot to include the coachbadlee coefficient to your equations, which projects all of our rookies to instant superstars.
Raptors Hornets suns Wizards those 4 teams have a chance to have better records than us. maybe not the hornets, but the other 3 for sure
I don't know how anybody has the nerve to say that the Nuggets are worse than us when they just added a Olympic gold medalist to there roster and were competitive in the playoffs when the Rockets didn't even make it.
And the season hasn't even started, but we are so excited about our chances...we are already talking about the Draft. ( that the Magic will Stern)
Bobcats, Wizards and Kings will all be worse than us, just because they all stink. Nobody else is a lock to be worse than us. We're probably better than NO, but that might be it?
i think suns are better than us, i think the raptors are a little better than us. Bobcats, Detroit, Orlando, Kings. those are the only team that we can say are worse than us with certainty. Cavs, hornets, wizards are in the same situation we are in. for these 3 teams and the rockets, everything is based upon how the rookies play for their respective teams. Irving, Waiters, and Zeller for Cleveland. Rivers, Davis, gordan's health for New Orleans. wizards have more experience than cavs, hornets, or the rockets, but i think everything depends on how Beal and Wall play this season and that will determine their success, or failure lol. so in terms of where we stack up at the bottom of the league, i think it's a fair assessment to say that we're a bottom-5 team. in other words, good chance at a top 5 draft pick, hopefully. in order of success Cavs Hornets Houston Wizards Kings Pistons Magic Bobcats but like i said earlier, the Cavs, Hornets, Rockets, and Wizards' position could easily be mixed and matched..if i had to guess our standing in the NBA, i would say the 5th or 6th worst record.
