Nope. Clips are still the better LA team with Paul, Griff, and Jordan.

First of all let's quit throwing Jordan's name like he has ever really done anything. Griffin and Paul can outplay Pau and Nash............throw in D Howard and Kobe, it's not even close.

Unfortunatey basketball doesn't work that way or else the 2004 Pistons and 2011 Mavs wouldn't have been champs.

fakers still have a lot of flaws to overcome. mike brown's coaching. kobe's ballhogging. artest ballstopping. pau disappearing. nash's lackluster D against elite level PG's. howard's FT shooting in the clutch. also the fact that howard always gets lit up by bosh. and all 5 starters are vulnerable to injuries more than the average nba player at this point.

top of all rumors are that they changed the system from the Triangle to Princeton O.

yeah, mike brown is truly a dumbass. he has the best passing PG in the game with 2 ballstoppers on the wings -- and he wants to run a motion/passing offense. now add dwight to the mix, who should basically never leave the paint area, and it makes even less sense

I agree. I won't feel sorry for them at all either. It would be fun to see them play well together, at same time I will laugh if they are sidelined the whole time in and out. Nothing major just never able to play together since one guy or another is missing. I think in the end yao and mcgrady barely had a full 82 games spread over seasons and seasons.

Also chemistry is a b****. We had barkley olajuwon and drexler and couldnt get it done.

I am a laker hater and as long as kobe is around it should be pretty easy to hate them.

In a word, NO. This Lakers team will not win ANY championships. Nash is one of the best passers of all time. Kobe is great, but not the takeover a game and dominate force he once was. An aging Artest is like many other SFs with little offensive talent, and waning defensive abilities which were his claim to fame. Pau has always been soft, but i suppose being 7'1" helps him get his 18 footers off clean. P*ssy... DH12 looks like he should be the best C in the game for many years, but I have never seen the heart, or the offensive game outside of 5 feet to prove he can lead a team to championships(even 1, much less 3 or 4) I wouldve been happy if Houston wouldve gotten Howard, but still worried about him leaving after one year of uninspired play, or worse, signing long term and waiting his contract and his prime out while on the disabled list.

People forget when Nash was in Dallas his last year there he wasn't finishing games because of his sorry defense. He went to Phonix and that changed, buthe could never get his team out of the western finals. I wouldn't be surprise if Brown being a defensive minded coach he is does the samething 6 or 7 years ago by benching him when the ame is on the line and goes with Dohen.

Havent the Lakers always played with sorry ass defense in the PG spot? And Kobe has moved over and covered Fishers/Sessions man if they have it going. They have enough firepower to overcome a PG lighting up Nash or put the load on the rest while Kobe gets to focus on 1 on 1 Defense on Nash's guy. Some of you are ridiculous

This team doesn't need a coach when you have Kobe and Nash running the floor. The lack of defense that Nash offers will be covered by Howard's monster D. I'm hoping that OKC can match-up with Lakers mobile and offensive big men. I hate Artest-peace, dirty player that needs to be booted out of the NBA

so, this is basically a lakers haters thread for these haters to shout and express their hate.. LOL

    never mind ,haters, keep hating...

everybody talks like an expert...you guys are awesome..how the hell you guys know LBJ can't get injury? how about wade?

    LOL

how about KD gets injury, what? KD can't get injury? what about Westbrook ?

player like Westbrook is more likely to get injury than anyone in the league!

everything is unsure, don't talk like you can predict who is 100% the 2012-2013 champion.

one of the fun part of watching nba games is you don't know what will happen before you watch the game.

so when kobe is 34, he has to get injury? what kind of logic?

it all depends the way you play, if making fade-away or turnaround jumpers will get injury, lol, then making dribble peneration all the time and jumping that high like westbrook will get injury very easily ,let's see.
