Stanley Roberts as PF?

    I know Stanley Roberts history, problems and is likely out of shape. Would Roberts fit on the Rockets today? Could he be the bruiser and rebounder that the Rockets need at PF? Or will he be a serious bust?

    The 76ers may still keep his rights since they don't really have a great center presence.

    No way the rockets would consider a fat bum like that. Plus didn't he already talk smack about Yao with shaq in some magazine or something?

    Just imagine if Maurice Taylor never lost those 20-30 (?) pounds he gained last season but instead gained 20-30 pounds more!!

    I wouldn't mind someone else signing him so Yao can dunk on his fat ass for his SI comments.

    Wasn't he the one that his last time with the Rockets blasted Rudy to the Media after a game as not knowing how to use talent, ect. Then was released a day or two later.

    I believe Roberts has been kicked out of the NBA for drug abuse. I think it was only two years though, last season and this season.

    I think it was a one-year ban. He hasn't been gone that long. And a big NO to Stanley Roberts.

    Wasn't it Charles who said that Stanley Roberts would have been a great player if he had said three words:

    "I'm not hungry"

    Totally forgot about the Stanley Roberts Rockets stint. I remember thinking that he'd be an adequate backup to Hakeem. But if Pig Miller is more valuable, that's saying something!

    SC said roberts was reinstated by the players' union after 3 years of being out b/c of drug stuff.

    believe it or not but before the lakers and hornets game wednesday night, former LSU basketball coach Dale Brown said that Stanley Roberts was actually a better shooter than Shaq.

    I agree. Bring back Anthony "Pig" Miller. Release Collier and Pig would at least be some help.
