Terriers are ridiculously strong, fast and agile. My old female Pit Bull will scale my 6-foot fence if there is thunder.

As for the poll- I voted dogs. I like cats, too, but their ****ting inside is freaking gross and Toxoplasma gondii freaks me out.

My GF has a toy Yorkie that's 10 months old. He is cute and smart as a whip.

Never liked itty bitty dogs until I met this one.

GF will be moving in over the next couple-three months, so I guess he is my dog now too....

This dog is incredible. My gf has an american staffordshire terrier/pitt and he's an amazing animal on all accounts. Great around people and other pets. Great with kids. He also does backflips.

It didn't really bother me before, but it's really annoying when people stereotype pit bulls as violent.

Seems like it's going to be the world's most arthritic dog in a few years. Be lucky if dog can walk in a few years. But, dog will probably go out in a blaze of glory where it like jumps a wall that is on the edge of a really high cliff or something.

video makes me sad. it reminds me of my lab who's heart is failing and is a shell of himself. can't even take him for a walk because of his labored breathing.

While I do prefer dogs to cats, I had to lol at the fact that what makes the dog so amazing in the vid is how well he imitates a cat.

There should have been a "Don't try this at home" disclaimer on that video. My dogs just tried one of the tricks....didn't go so well.

In my experience, the evidence seems to support the conclusion. I lived in Brazil where everyone and their mom had a pitbull. I don't care for getting near one unless it has a trustworthy owner, and I love dogs.

It doesn't matter what breed the dog is, it's always the owner. Pit bulls are loyal an highly intelligent. They consistently test high on temperament tests than golden retrievers and collies. Their loyalty has been manipulated by dog fighters and a media that eats it up. It's the exact same thing as a white girl being scared because she sees a big black dude walking towards her... I guess we stereotype for self preservation?

Pit's can be wonderful dogs like any other dog but you cant deny the fact that pitbulls can naturally be more aggressive. Look at how many pitbull attacks that have actually killed. Owner definitely has a huge fault there but I have been around a lot of dogs and Pittbulls are one of the more unpredictable and naturally aggressive dogs out there. Can they be great dogs and pets? Absolutely!! and it all depends on the dog.. I personally have an Akita which also has a reputation but he's the sweetest puppy out there :)

I have a pit-bull that's scared of cats. She's the biggest p***y in the world but people are still scared of her.

The owner makes a massive difference, but the issue with terriers in general is that they are ****ing nuts lol. It's not just Stafforshire/Pit Bull terriers, but all of them. Some are calmer than others, but when they find something to fixate on it can be hard to get them under control. Plus pits are extremely strong so that is what makes them dangerous if they aren't trained by an experienced dog owner.

Like if a Jack Russell was as big as a Pit Bull then I'm pretty sure they would be regarded as a potentially dangerous dog.
