he had a 9 assists - 3 turnovers in the last game. this game he had 8 assists - 2 turnovers... it looks like he's finally taking care of the ball better! and what's more, Yao's had 0 turnovers the last two games. let's hope this continues against the fakers!
Yes.. Francis has been unbelivable. He is becoming better at leading the team now, ignoring that last minute ejection tonight. He doesn't force too many shots, and he focuses on distributing the balls more, especially in the first half. Then suddendly in the second half he steps up the offense, and scores 20+ pts. This is the Steve Francis we want night in night out.
You guys are right on. Francis has been doing an excellent job over the last two weeks of trying to get the team involved and not forcing the action as much. His teamates are actually hitting shots off of his kick-outs now and his stats and the team's record shows it. Keep up the good work Steve!
it was after rices latest gripe to the media about getting more shots that stevie has been distributing like a true pg. if thats what it took to get steve to play like he has than rice is the true team mvp. glen rice earned his 9 million without even having to take a shot.
Stevie deserves this thread. After all the criticism he's got lately (some of ity justified), he's done a great job playing the point the last few games. He's playing more level-headed. He's not diving into the middle of the defense recklessly as much. Instead, he's penetrating under control and looking to dish while not forcing bad shots or passes. The assists are up, the turnovers are down, but most importantly, he's making the team better with his great PG play. Keep it up!
Steve played great last night. Everything I've been wanting out of him. It really seems like a team effort out there, on both sides of the ball. He just had the swagger of a true leader.
I dissagree here. Cutino has been the bus driver in the last 3 games if I am not mistaken. But the new found "oneness" plus the insertion of James Possey into the starting lineup has the key to the streak so far. Steve has done well also. He has not tried to do too much which is a welcome developement (especially last night when Marburry was tempting him to).
