Reading flying cockroaches with the word dark in the same sentence gave me chills

The only thing I am full blown legitimately afraid of (that I know of at least) is snakes. I can't stand them.

Don't realize that so many people have phobias of cockroaches and spiders. Just step on them and they die.

But cockroaches make that awful crunching sound. Grosses me out just thinking about it.

I'm going to spoiler this because it doesn't directly address the topic.

I am afraid of deluded people like yourself. Specifically of their power to influence our education, social policies and general well-being.

No justification for such an assertion. Many things that have been thought untestable in the past are common knowledge now.

Neutral? Laughable. Is the possibility of becoming a unicorn after death also 50/50 in your opinion? At this moment there is no solid reason to believe life after death is at all likely and good reasons for thinking that the concept of afterlife is just the manifestation of our fear of death. And even if we found tomorrow that yes, our existence doesn't end with death, it certainly wouldn't give credence to any individual doctrine incorporating the notion.

Ironically, I have found the people not living their lives in fears like lcahmed to lead on average more morally justifiable and fulfilling lives, and ultimately being more deserving of getting in a heaven, if such a place were to exist, than people who actively worry about such things.

It is pretty disgusting. Once I was walking in my kitchen in the dark and stepped on a huge one. Stepped right on its fat stomach and it exploded, all of its gooey insides splashed on my foot and even splashed to my other foot. Quite disgusting after I turned on the lights. Washed my legs 15 times with soap and shampoo.

But I think spiders and cockroaches are more of a grossed out than a true fear. Like what I meant was something that could mess you up. Hence my locked up in the dark in some basement for hours example. That would probably leave me with some serious scars or brain damage.

probably terminal or incurable sickness, then heights, then deep ocean water, in that order... though that last one is the only one I have nightmares about.

But honestly, I'm not afraid of any person, death, and stuff like that. The only things that make me freak out are spiders

I am not afraid of death, but I am afraid of physical pain when I die.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Whoever fears has not been made perfect in love.
