Yep but the criminal investigation is continuing so they may not have been just misplaced. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm...514&u=/ap/20030115/ap_on_re_us/bubonic_plague
The part of this that has me really concerned is how they were able to keep this a secret for so long. If you go by the account of the Doctor at the press conference they made this known at 3:30pm yesterday. This doesn't break until 11am TODAY. And by some accounts this stuff was missing (& known missing) for possibly days. Procedure needs to be looked at because they admitted during the presser that even the janitors had access to this restricted area. They obviously need to rethink that. Bob Knight, Pipe bomb scare, and now this...... Lubbock's got a bulls-eye on it.
How can you say "Oh my god we lost the bubonic plague! OOOPS my bad I found it!" Nice job of scaring the freaking country Texas Tech.
Wow I am on Texas Tech campus and this is the first I've heard of it. (7:45 PM) Nobody talked about in class or just anywhere. Amazing on how something like this gets national news when the people that are closest to it dont even know.
Somebody got arrested over it, I didn't have time to read the whole article. http://www.msnbc.com/news/859757.asp?0dm=C17LN
