1- Drew 2- Rogers 3- Collier (YES, Bullard's not in that list!) ------------------ Ostertag for Three!!!!!
My choice....Drew. Not that he is a bad player, but the reason he was choosen is no longer valid. You know, dump it into Hakeem or Chuck and man the perimeter for the 3. No longer the case with thoroughbreds we have now. Keep los.....If he can stay off the IR.....Good player. ------------------
Scottie Pippen. Oh, nevermind.....current Rocket you ask? That would have to be Drew, not that he can't play, but he has little value to us in the rotation as a third string PG. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
Francis has zero value, since he will not be traded. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
It's simply amazing how after never seeing Collier do as much as play in an NBA game, that he is already labeled worse than Matt Bullard. You can say all you want about him having a poor summer league, but he had an excellent college career, and there's no way a week of subpar play when he wasn't even close to 100% takes that away. My choices: 1. Bullard 2. Drew 3. Rogers ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com 4th Friday of August= Rocket Day 1999-Steve Francis 2000-Maurice Taylor
Drew, that's why he is being shopped around the league. Let's hope someone bites with a draft pick and cash. ------------------ I am the founding member of the Butt-Nekkid Party! White House here we come!
I'll go with Drew also. BTW I'm not a big fan of waiving, just look at the Rockets situation with Maloney's contract. ------------------
I actually believe that Steve Francis is the least valuable. NoOne has recieved such accolades after contributing so little in his first season since Shaquille O'Neal. I realize that Steve will be good but he will not bring a championship to Houston because he does not PASS. I truly hope that Drew does get traded so you can stop kicking him around and enjoy watching Stevie and Cuttino make out after one of them dunks. ------------------ Signature at the bottom of my post
It was his rookie year man! Francis has some very natural PG instincts and he is trying very hard to be one. I like your analysis of using Shaq to compare Steve with. Shaq does have a ring, and is league MVP. Steve WILL be a good passer. Watch and see. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Let me re-phrase the post from "Least Valuable" to "Most Expendable" - it sounds more positive that way. And the winner is...... 1A - Bryce Drew - because he was drafted on to a team that favored a "get it into the low blocks and wait for the pass out" philosophy which is changing very quickly into a "full-tilt pedal to the metal - we can can get to the other end for a basket before you can get back" team. 1B - Matt Bullard - because he basically does the same thing as Collier and Langhi, but they are a younger, quicker, and more athletic. However, sometimes experience wins out. I am not closing the door on Bull. What he does, he does VERY well. 2 - Jason Collier - by default b/c I think Carlos Rogers is athletic enough to be a surprise (if he is healthy). ------------------ GATER [This message has been edited by GATER (edited September 15, 2000).]
If Langhi is any good which I think he will be I would have to say Bullard's value drops signifigantly.Hate to lose him though. ------------------ Question-What is Elton Brand not worthy of carrying? Answer-Franchises Jock
Bullard only brings 1 thing to the table. Outside shooting. We need more versatile players in order to compete with the Faker$, Blazers and Spurs. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
Air Bullard ------------------ Question-What is Elton Brand not worthy of carrying? Answer-Franchises Jock
I'm not sure why we're voting for the 3 least valuable (or most expendable) when we only need to clear 2 players out to put us at 12. So my 2 are: Drew (3rd string PG who can be traded for something of value!) Rogers (4th string PF who could probably find us some value too!) For 12th man I'd probably suggest Collier - not saying he's bad, I just think he needs some time to develop a little and giving him 5-10 minutes a game from the 12th man spot will br invaluable in future years!! ------------------
I think, Rogers is too valuable asset when he is healthy. Don't you think! ------------------ Rudy T. will find and fulfill Rockets destiny.
assuming Gray and Pig are already gone, which rocket has the least value. not only least value on the court, but also least value in a trade. i guess i am effectively asking which player to Waive. give your 3 least valuable ------------------
