why is women's olympic basketball on network tv but mens is not...

Guys, NBC is trying to grow their network NBC Sports Network, formerly known as Versus. Most people aren't aware that NBC is now actively trying to compete with Disney (ESPN/ABC), CBS (CBS/CBS Sports) and Fox (Fox/Fox Sports Net/Fox College Sports). And what better way to get people to tune in than to put the most recognizable sport/group of athletes on their obscure network?

Heck, I'm surprised they didn't put more track and field and swimming events on NBCSN, following the trend of the NBA taking almost all of their postseason games except the Finals to cable.
