yup yup..i think he's the best defensive player WITHOUT even trying to defense but just stand there and raise his hands in the air....ha ha ha..he's 7'5 ..his hands is about 4 foot somewhere close to that number..(his widthspand is 8 feet !!) add 7'5 to 4 ft..you got 11'5'' ft ..that's taller than the basket....that's why he scare so many shots other players wanted to shoot up...only centers can shoot over Yao easily..or not maybe not so easily :D

    Marion 51 minutes
    Marbury 49 minutes
    Stoudamire 43 minutes

Wow, I looked at Amare's numbers and said "24 and 15, wow"

    Then I looked at Duncan's 38 points (16/25 shooting), 16 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 blocks.

Not only did Marbury play all those minutes, he expended a LOT of energy. Shot 26 times (made 11) and grabbed 7 rebounds. He also dished out 8 assists.

If the well rested, more talented Rockets don't beat the Suns, fingers will be pointed at the coach. After 53 minutes the previous night, Marion should be held below average. Marbury never ceases to surprise me, so I'll say he ties Steve. Assuming Amare slightly outdoes Griffin, Mobley will destroy Joe Johnson and Yao Ming will destroy a very short Scott Williams.

Hopefully, we can rest Ming in the 4th quarter of this game, get Cato some minutes and let Ming get ready for Shaq.

    Rockets 101
    Phoenix 89

Bench should mop up the leftovers in the 4th.

    Well,

    I am looking for the following;

    a) We move the ball - get 20+ assists and get it down low-post
    b) Win at SG and Center with their number 1 options out
    c) Dont get screwed by Madbury
    d) And Yao to show his worth playing against Amare.

This could be a close game, but I like the fact that Suns are playing back-to-back with a tough OT loss tonite. Also Steve and Yao have something to show some stuff after Suns stole from our us last time.

Look at the Suns' scorebox against Spurs. They have 3 men scoring 20+ pts (with 20+ shots). But the next guy is at 6 pts despite in a OT game. They don't have a balanced attack. If we keep the 3 guys relatively under control, we should be okay.

Well Spurs are really a one-man team though.

Yao has a knack for stepping up in games when a statement to the basketball world can be made. Like the Dallas game against Bradley and the Spurs game against Duncan and Robinson. Whether these are just coincidences or not I think Yao is gonna have a huge night since we are playing the other top ROY candidate. Yao 22 pts 16 rebs 5 blks...Rockets win 99 - 92. Close game but Rockets pull away late.

why didn't Mo Taylor play against Boston, I have yet to figure that one out? Achilles effects??

Also, people say the Lakers game on Fri is big, but this game is just as big. The Suns are a pesky team, and the Rockets better defend their home court against this team I dont see the Suns maintaining this hot streak. Which means the Rockets should have a goal to have a better record than the Suns.

"I haven't seen a lot of him, but all the clips they show on ESPN, all the news stations, it's kind of like they want to embarrass him a little bit, like he can't really play. But tonight he showed a lot of flashes of greatness. He can run the floor and he can move down there.... I didn't expect that."

    - Penny Hardaway, after playing Yao in a Rockets-Suns game, 11/15/02

It were merely flashes then, now it's time for a conflagration!!!!!!  Burn the Suns!!!!!! (sounds like an oxymoron of some sort  )

The Suns played a lot of minutes tonight against SA. Hopefully the Rockets will take advantage of that and run the ball as much as possible agains the Suns. Marbury will get his. Every point guard , rookie or veteran, seems to light it up against the Rockets. And Marbury seems to always play well against Francis. I'm really looking forward to the Posey- Marion and the EG-Amare matchups. Those will be key matchups on defense if the Rockets are going to win.

To be a serious playoff contender, the rocks need to win this.. their currently tied with utah at 21-15, couple more wins and they could be looking at 5th position in the west..

The way i see it, if Yao goes crazy gettin 8 and 3 in the First . Then the Suns will have no choice but to start doubling him. Help will come from Stoudamire or maybe Marion..depending on how hard Voshkul's ass is being whupped. that would leave Griff' or Posey free to do major damage.
So with Yao gettin freebies(Voshkul n Tsika? ....Pleeeeeassee) and Griff' n Pose' going for doubles collectively.. 30-20, Stoud' and Mari' (?...Mari?) are awesomely active and prodigiously talented but i'd be hard done if i don't see them seeing alot of the bench with all the fouls they'll be racking up from playing Hack-a-Yao or Hack-a-Griff' or Hac...you know what i mean.
