The question stated that "we could.." obviously we should not. we would not... but we most definitely could!
When I first read it I was like this: Then I was like this: Then I figured I'd better sober up before committing to a vote.
If he's willing to play the Aaron Brooks,Retty,Harden type of role, then I'm all for it. Based on history, I highly expect he does not want to play that role at all. If We move K-Mart to give Lamb playing time, you can expect Iverson to bch and moan that he isn't the starter at SG if we picked him up. Once again, it's all about attitude. If he want to embrace the 6th man role, then I'd love to have him. Not going to happen though.
He was one of the best ever. Definitely top 50 in terms of talent in NBA history. That said, I agree w/ other posters who are saying he wouldn't take to the bench well. If he could control that, and he was 80% of what he was in his prime, why not? AI was one of the most spectacular athletes.
Could they bring him in? Sure Would they? Not a chance in hell Should they? **** it, why not? The guy is entertaining and it'll help us get a good draft pick. But if we do... Our point guard spot will be ailin. Get it? AI-LIN.
