While this is a 0.3 out of 10 on a We're Doomed scale...it is disturbing to see another non-contact leg injury. Andre's 31 and has missed a lot of time and has otherwise been noticeably hampered the last two years with nagging injuries. You can't dismiss the idea that wear and tear is starting to catch up, and this isn't a position that is forgiving to players that slow down. Given how dependent our passing scheme is on him stretching the defense, you can consider my fingers and toes criss crossed. Hopefully we have better insurance this season in the form of Jean, Posey, or Martin. God knows Walter may as well pass block if AJ isn't creating holes for him. Is he willing to play for a one year deal at the league minimum? Cause otherwise, we don't have the cap room to take him on.
You're not a world class athlete. He is. This is becoming a problem. Why didnt Walter tweak anything? Andre is a beast, he trains too hard and he's been doing this his whole life. I wouldn't call him Mcgrady quite yet when it comes to injuries but he's closer to the end of his career than his prime...
disturbing, even if it is minor. Really wish we'd had the cap room to take on another big-time receiver.
Someone needs to learn sarcasm. This wouldn't be a huge deal if aj had been playing 16 games in the past few seasons. But he hasn't. Idk if it's panic mode yet, but it ain't promising.
Stevie Johnson played all games last year with a nagging groin and still broke 1000 yards. We know AJ has a high tolerance for pain and playing effectively through it. All this non-worry aside, I do hope he's at peak health come week 1.
and he missed those final games b/c the team decided to shut him down, since the games were meaningless.

He has missed 12/32 games over the last two seasons. I posted this in another thread, but with andre our qbr is 96 with w/o him it is 89. He is important, but not irreplaceable.

Maybe it will take another season of AJ being injured for the front office to get another capable wide receiver across Dre.

Contrary to popular belief, 30 is not old for a WR, especially one that takes care of his body. Lots of WR's don't even hit their prime until their 30's.
Can he not push himself so hard during practice?!?!? Let kevin walters catch some ball sometime. Save it for the real game
let him miss til the week before game one. you know it was schaub and his low throws, had it been tj it would have been an ankle sprain for jumping five feet to get a hand on it. good thing it happened during the weekend though. Could you imagine, MJackson, a 49ers fan, reporting it. "right now he is being carted, we're thinking he might have both legs amputated." making light of it because A.J will be fine.
