Fair Enough. At the end of the day, I think H-Town is a good place for Lin to grow as a player. He'll fit with the rest of the youngins & will have room to test his game. Hell if he's top 10-15 PG then it's a fair contract and the team can feel good about it. As far as Roxxy goes, she seems to love her B-Ball & the she got me with the Fox News blast (LMAO). So it's all good.
If he's a top 10-15 PG, it would be a steal. If he becomes better than that, it would be highway robbery. Now, let's just hope Lin goes out and gets it. As for Roxxy, I think I'ma Roxxy fan.
Sorry, that was a terrible interview. He's making it about asians vs blacks (who's had it worse, black players have been playing ball a long time/don't get the hype...well no *****, that's why it's big deal, partly because he's asian. We've never seen an asian guard play at Lin's level). I hate it when minorities hate on each other. Hello, this is not the *****ing oppression olympics. The only thing he said that made sense was that Lin wasn't flashy and that he understands team ball.
So am I! Not many "she" fans who are passionate about Bball. Brace yourself for a rocky relarionship with your bf next season, Roxxy!
He isn't making it about asians vs blacks. He is just forecasting how some people will feel about it in the NBA. It isn't an attack on Lin but a attack on society, the media, the NBA and human nature. Trust me I hate it when minorities hate each other as well. But he says a few things that are fairly reasonable (although not 100% right). For example. if Lin were black or white would he have been paid as much as he was now (the 25 mill after 25 games) some people would say no he wouldn't (but I still think he would because of how well he played his contract is reasonable). But at the same time, if Lin were white or black nobody would be up in his business about his money either. Also he probably would have gotten a fair shake from college recruiting and during draft workouts. It goes both ways, but he doesn't mention that. He also talks about how Lin went to harvard so he was never hungry (despite the sleeping on the couch thing). That i disagree with, College is expensive, Olden is from Haiti so he is talking about it from a perspective of haitians who live in abject poverty. But just because he went to Harvard don't mean that him and his family had it easy. The John Stockton steve nash comparison is interesting because Gary Payton said the same thing and he is right Lin does play smart basketball. Just trying to drive conversation that is all don't mean to offend.

Here's some good video analysis of his strengths and weaknesses on O and D.. I hope DMo or Asik can learn to fill Tyson Chandler's spot. It'd be nice if we can bring in an athletic big to throw down some alley oops <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LIbz2cdn6lk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It's actually a cackle that is eerily reminesant of the sound a witch makes when she gets sexually stimulated.
Nice video. Breakdowns like that have helped quiet down the stream chorus of posters who were chanting "but he can't go to his left!" Lin's ability to penetrate should open up a lot of over the top lob chances to Asik. Not many teams have the team height to do anything about that. With Lin much more likely to look for that pass than Rose, it's easy to see Asik's chances to score rise significantly off the lob alone (and increased minutes). Which raises the question of whether Asik can finish off a lob from Lin? Most Bulls fans seem to be of the opinion that he cannot. Let's hope the Rockets have already developed and implemented a program to develop his ability to do this. I have read some accounts that there are drills and exercises that will help here. They better be doing something. Otherwise, the Rockets may be letting a bunch of easy buckets go to waste.
This. I think it's safe to assume that Asik will look better on offense this upcoming season. I really like the fact that both Asik and Lin are team first guys, and at the same time, even though they got significant raises, both will still likely feel the need to prove themselves. Lastly, one thing you can't question on either of these guys is their heart and passion. They both play and conduct themselves like winners. Now it's just a matter of them both expanding their production with starter minutes, which I think they both will do.
