I've been unemployed for 6 months (can it, dr of dunk). I start work wednesday (apt. locator) and I know that's a way to meet new people, but I hear that joining clubs and organizations is a good way to do that. What clubs are you guys in? Oh, as for advice for me. I'm a mid 20's year old Asian male. What's a good club for me? Do I have to be in business to join the Asian Chamber of Commerce? Does that cost money?
I'm in the Stonecutte---Uhhh, I mean...nah, I don't belong in any clubs... PSST! Yo RM95! I'll see you at the secret wink-wink at the you-know-what...
Texas Historical Shootist Society and the Tejas Pistoleros. Both are Cowboy Action Shooting clubs where we shoot live ammo at steel targets in timed scenerios using guns from the old west, ie colt single action revolvers, winchester repeating rifles and double barrled shotguns. It's a blast. I'd like to do historical reenactment from the Texas Revolution and Civil War but don't have the time.
I was a member of the KKK until they kicked me out for my joint membership in the Black Panthers and Mexican Mafia. Right now I'm doing grunt work for the Asian Mafia, so we'll see how that goes...
I'm in a badminton club. A lot of asians are good at badminton, so it might be something you'd enjoy.
I play soccer in a local men's league...but obviously, you can't meet females doing that. I've heard church groups are a good way to meet people, but what the hell do I know.
That guy in fightclub met a nice girl by joining all sorts of organizations. See the film for details.
This club is great for basketball and they have great drinking excursions and you can meet girls through it. Good call Mateo. It is kind of like a fraternity for adults without the hazing. Also a club monkey VIP card can get you into a lot of clubs without cover and no line. I think they play trivia at the outback pub every wednesday night, I saw them there once when my band played there.
