Good advice. Find something interesting to do after one of your classes. Preferably with a few other people, like seeing some live music. Mention it a few days beforehand to gauge how she feels about it, but don't ask her out. If she show interest, the day of the event mention it again. "Hey a few of my friends are going to X, you want come along?" You will figure out where you stand from her answer without it being awkward. If she says yes, you need a time limit on the "date". Mention early on that you have some stuff to do in about an hour. If things go bad or just average you can leave and still look in charge. If it goes good, you can say that you can put off your other obligations until tomorrow. If it goes real well, leave and ask if she wants to do something later that night.
She doesnt like you. If you ask her out she will think you are a creep especially since she already has a boufriend. You will be miserable for the next few months second guessing yourself because you are seriously infatuated with her. Tbh if she makes it a point to avoid you after you ask her out, i can totally see you stalking her in some manner with varying degrees of intensity. You probably like her because despite her girl next door good looks, you find her approachable and not intimidating. Shes probably a people pleaser and will not leave her boyfriend just because someone asked her out. Dont mistake her friendliness for anything more than that. Look at how she was talking to her lab partner. Thats probably how she acta to all guys, including you
<br> Taking advice on girls from a guy who was a <a href="http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=7038667&postcount=97">20 year old virgin</a> is probably also suspect.
Are you projecting what you would do in this situation on me? Because I have no damn clue how you draw these conclusions
When she lets you put it in. At all other times it's like the fog of war. When is it a bull market? When stocks go up.

Cuz you're so into her right now that you're looking for any hidden signal that she's just as much into you as you are into her. Not to mention you're ignoring the fact that she has a boyfriend and she acts friendly towards guys who supposedly "freak her out". You're interpreting a shoulder brush as a signal she's ready to dump everything she's got invested in her current relationship. cmon man. Even if she said no to you straight up, you're just gonna think that she secretly really wants you and is just afraid of her boyfriend or something. Anyone who's telling you that she likes you and wants to be with you is just being delusional. If I'm coming off douchey, so be it. Check back in 6 months
Indeed. Yeah, when I typed that I thought first in, first out, and it felt weird calling it something else, lol.
Being Asian myself, I can understand your perspective and the set of experiences that have led you to being jaded on this topic. I agree, the average attractive all-American girl will not be attracted to an Asian guy at face value. That's a fact. It is the theory of assortative mating. The exception to assortitive mating, aka the "Yellow Fever" only affects males. Often times, however, girls do like the extra attention and / or the opportunity to have a more diverse set of friends. That could very well be what's happening here. THAT BEING SAID. I really don't think you're doing the right thing by disparaging the OP because of your own experiences. I've been around long enough to see the occasional Asian guy (not even necessarily good looking) succeed with a White girl. Some girls are open minded. Also, I admire the OP for seeing himself beyond racial borders. If you don't view it to be a limitation, then why should it be? Take the great advice from the people who said to arrange a casual meeting before or after class, and just go for it. What's the worse that can happen? Any negative outcome should pale in comparison to what he's seen in combat anyway. Just make sure this thread doesn't get Almu'd.
