As of now this is Jeremy Lin's team. Also, if you're a halfway decent PG you always shine when given a full opportunity as a starter for the Rockets.

Brooks, Lowry, Dragic now it's Lin's turn.

Without a big trade, I voted Lin.

I don't think Lin will actually be the best player, but he will look like it because he has the easiest path to minutes. How many guys get 30 minutes per game right now?

Probably Lin. He may not score the most points. But he will probably be the biggest reason as to why the Rockets win.

Agreed, but it will b bc of the overseas votes and not his play on the court that get him in the all star game.

What you say may be true next year. But eventually Lin will be an all-star on merit.

Why? According to Nate Silver of the New York Times, of the 41 players who accomplished what Lin did during Linsanity, 34 were all-stars or better. So Lin has an 83% chance of being at least an all-star on merit alone.

    http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/11/jeremy-lin-is-no-fluke/

Furthermore, Lin performed his miracle in his first few games, whereas nearly all of the 41 people on the list were veterans when they finally did it. So Lin's upside could be very high indeed.

Lin's defensive play is the wild card in all this....... Overlooked, and often presumed to be suspect (stress "presumed"), he's in the top third in the NBA in defensive points per possession for ALL players. If he plays merely at the same level he did for the Knicks, he will definitely bring positive point differential to the team.

The following is an interesting compilation of analyses on Jeremy Lin:
