I don't believe he has signed a deal yet with Chicago. If they are trying to work a trade out with the Rockets for Drew, do you think Fizer is being asked for by the Rockets? What are the thoughts on this happening to.

I don't think we have anything to package with Drew for which they would give us Fizer. Remember, he was their No. 1 pick. Would be great, though.

Fizer may be asking too much without giving something else up.

    Think Artest.

Sounds more than good enough for me.

Medman: you´re right, Fizer hasn´t signed yet.

Artest won´t start for Chicago this season, so he may be expendable.

A guy can dream, can´t he?

Serioulsy, correct me if i´m wrong, but a player can be traded JUST for picks without another player involved?

Other teams know by now where to check for info on our players,so please everybody watch what you write.
What makes you think Artest is so much better then Drew?
Maybe the fact that he played more min on a very bad team?he just had chance to work on his game.

I agree with that. While we usually bash drew around here, the truth is that he posted more than respectable number in the games he started for us.

Given the minutes in the right offense (not ours) he will produce.

His value is not as low as some have said.

Looking at chi-town´s roster in realgm.com i would say that it´s either Artest (it works) or a draft pick or two.

Simple.....I watched Artest play, college and pro alike. I know Krause covets his skills and demeanor. He likely won't give him up for Drew alone.

To me, this is an easy assumption. If Krause DOES in fact trade player for player straight up, it would solidify how much of an idiot Krause really is.

I would trade almost anyone on the Rockets for Fizer....ALMOST anyone.

He is WAY better then Mo Taylor right now, and will only improve.

It never ceases to amaze me how much people dismiss Mo.

Have you seen Fizer playing against NBA caliber talent?

Until you see it, i´m sorry but there´s no way you can say that he is WAY BETTER than Mo, who by the way, will only get better too, he´s a 23 year old for chrissakes!

PS: Drew for Fizer would work too, we still have 1,7mil worth of trade exception.

But i´m not crazy enough to even consider that the bulls would pull off something like that.

Now, trading a bench warmer (that´s what´ll become of Artest) for a young PG who had a nice run when he started last season doesn´t sound NEARLY as unreasonable.

My guess would be if the Rockets are talking about just sending Drew it would be for a second round pick or two.

On second thought, now that i´ve seen that Artest is just 6´6, meaning he would be useless as an SF, i second Clutch.

A couple of picks should do the trick.

Thank you for that dose of sanity Clutch.

Can you imagine the headlines in Chicago if they inexplicably traded away some of their quality young talent just to pick up a short-term starting point guard?

LOL... All they want is someone to take the point until Crawford grows up. Dang, maybe we can sqeeze a first round pick out of them if God is merciful...

Doesn't make sense cap-wise and we also do not need another PG.

Why in h#ll would that sound good to you? Like Det says, it doesn't work cap wise, and we have a pg. Please, PLEASE use just a small amout of common sense before you post, or do they not teach that in 7th grade anymore?

Chicago knows his value as much as we do. Unfortunately he has no place on our team, and therefore, has no value. He is well aware of it too. It's not about talent at this point. Drew has plenty of talent and is capable, but he is squeezed for PT. Chicago is very aware that Drew is burried on our bench. They'd give us next to nothing, but something is better than nothing.

How about Drew/Los for Hawkins/a draft pick or two? Would that work cap wise? We get a pick & free up cap space next year.

I know Fizer straight up for Drew seems really crazy but the fact is that Fizer has not signed yet and who knows, Fruase might consider it if they really are looking to make Drew their starter at the 1. I think I read where he would be starting in that tribune article. Also, remember we did Krause and Co. a favor by ridding them of Mr. Quitten..... it's time to return the favor, I would hope.... :)
