cops pointing weapons at unarmed citizens and releasing dogs on the public... just another day in cali
Oh and cops have to give those dogs commands to put them in attack mode. There is no way it got out of the car or off a leash without the trainer having sent it out there. (after a baby nonetheless)
probably best to reserve judgement till all the facts come out. I hate immoral, unethical or even dirty or stupid cops as much as the next guy. That said, I have no idea how difficult it might be to judge a given situation, especially a random, quickly formed sizeable protest where some people might have been acting aggressively. Cause to release a attack dog on a baby? Of course not. But then, while it doesn't excuse the police officers actions, is it not also fair to say what are you doing in the middle of a chaotic protest with a baby? I mean, the officers clearly had the guns drawn for a bit. The lady should not have been out there in the first place, and certainly should have high-tailed it back home when things started to get dicey.
Unleashing dogs is a little extreme. Rubber bullets are nothing, I have had worse bruises playing paintball. But dogs in a crowd with small children is a no no.
Based on this video alone, what are these people doing with freakin babies at a protest. If the cops are threatened with garbage fire, rocks and stones, how are they suppose to react? Did the dog get lose on purpose? Can't tell from this video, but the cops did their best to get him back under control. Easy to always blame the cops.
