If Martin goes, can Livingston play back-up SG for us?

I'd rather bring in Ish Smith again and maybe even Scott Machado. If you're gonna rebuild that's the way to go for me. Young and eager to grow as players and make something for themselves, not trading for other team's left-over trash.

plenty of guys that the Rockets can sign for cheap that can help. I think it would be a better idea to bring in a vet that can maybe help the rooks.

Some guys I would prefer are Michael Redd, Maurice Evans, Willie Green, Keyon Dooling, or Mickael Pietrus

If Redd is healthy enough to help out on the court and lead the locker room, I'm all for that idea. Maybe Dooling too.

Keep in mind, you aren't trading Martin for cap space. You are getting players back. If it's not Howard/Bynum (+ pieces including J-Rich), you could still end up with some SG.

    What about the actual T-Mac?

I'd honestly be totally in favor of it, just because it would upset tinman.

If they could find some way to replace Martin with Iguodala, it would balance the team out more.

Livingston would be better backing up the Point with Douglas playing Shooting Guard, that is, if Douglas recovers his form as a very good 3-point shooter. Like I said in my previous post, Douglas is not a Point Guard.

doesn't really matter. i don't think the team is too concerned with "filling holes" this season as much as they are concerned with planning for the future. that means giving big minutes to guys who are considered building pieces.

When does Livingston's contract become guaranteed, i.e. we have to pay him 3.5 million which is way too much so he's probably involved in any trade.

Livingston is a sure trade filler, I wish Douglas is shipped out too, he is just too mediocre. I'd prefere the developpement of a young player with upside like Machado and Ish Smith. We can add a great shooting backup point guard too to play when Royce White is running the offense.

Yep, I'm sure Livingston will tear the league a new one, and will have other players down on their knees.
