I heard the movie tavern (45/richey just south of 1960) is playing it on all screens at 12 tonight. You might be able to still get tickets. Other than that, good luck.

I went to a screening with a friend who won tickets off The Tube (channel 57)....Sports Radio 610 and some other radio stations were co sponsors. They reserved the back of the theater for media types.

They wouldn't let anybody take their cell phones into the theater and actually had people stationed in the aisles watching for bootlegger/spoiler types. It was pretty surreal. It was all gravy once the movie started though.

    You should be able to.

If you don't mind not seeing it the "right way" (IMAX 3D) I'm going with my other half to catch it at the run down movie tavern right after work. I figure not too many folks are gonna be selling that joint out like others.

But then again it's TDKR so it may be like that anywhere throughout the entire weekend.

I didn't like the cliff hanger ending knowing that Nolan and Bale are done with this Batman universe.

*******, Christopher Nolan has blown my mind again. If he didn't capture me with all of his masterpieces from before, he's surely done it now. Definitely my favorite director.

    Loved it.

I didn't either, but damn.. the movie had a hell of an ending anyway overall.

My thinking is he gave WB 2 choices:

    1. Reboot
    Or
    2. Take off where he left off

Amazing movie. Ended exactly how it should have.

Also, I'll believe this is the last from Nolan in a few years. Let's go ahead and see how much it makes first.

The last 45 min. was beyond epic - loved the Bane fight scene near the end. What a great way to finish the trilogy- also a lot of emotion from the charaters- good and evil alike, very good.

Wow, this movie was 50/50 for me.... When did bane become darth vader??? Couldn't understand half the words he was sayin... Oh and as for Catwoman??? If you're gonna wear a mask make sure it covers the face and not just the eye area.. This was nowhere close to being as epic as TDK.. It picked up in the 2nd half but damn that 1st half was tough...

Or a spin off per the last 5 minutes.

Epic movie, will watch again. Surprised how it tied to the first one so much.

Joseph Gordon Levitt was the weakest link. He's the Katie Holmes and Sad Cartoon Turtle of the third installment.

Otherwise a damn good finale. Great pacing and excellent spectacle.
Bane was a tad Darth Vaderish but I really enjoyed him. Same for Hathaway.
My flawless French queen was flawless.

Wow amazing movie, the only thing I didn't like was that at times it was hard to understand Bane's dialogue.

the dark knight was my favorite movie ever going into tonight. it still is. at this point it might be almost unassailable at #1 because TDKR was about the only thing i could imagine knocking it off.

i thought the first 2 hours was ok but lacked cohesion and was largely all over the place (although bane was awesome) which surprised me coming from nolan. i was on the road to major disappointment but the final 30 or so minutes was indeed as amazing as many people indicated it would be. could not have liked those 30 minutes more. to the point i'll probably go see this in theaters again.

There were no trailers during the IMAX Edwards screening but the manager set up a theater for us to watch the Man of Steel trailer.

It sucked. It sucked real bad. Bootleg from comic con was better.

For those who still haven't seen the movie, I recommend rewatching Batman Begins. It's not necessary, but I'm glad I did. TDK would also be nice to revisit before the movie, but if you only have time for one of the 2, I would say to watch Batman Begins.

Brilliant movie. I thought it perfectly wrapped up the trilogy. I think you definitely need to go back and familiarize yourself with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight to get a full sense of closure, but it's not necessary.

The Dark Knight was already my favorite movie going in, but The Dark Knight Rises may have dethroned its predecessor.
