I had a friend with a virus issue GAC_32\Desktop.ini I was able to remove it using the Hitman Pro The issue is that it is part of network 1. Cannot turn on the firewall 2. It has network access but cannot connect to the other computers The workgroup names are matching They are all part of the same group The Network - File and Print sharing options won't keep I change them -- save . . . check them gain and they reverted back Tried updating the registry keys BFE and mpsSvc Did not work . . . in face internet access went away What am I missing . . . Never heard of that antivirus. I'm guessing it didn't do its job well. I recommend Malwarebytes. There's a free version that does on-demand scanning and cleaning but not real time protection. Seriously, every computer should have Microsoft Security Essentials for that, by now.
I don't know if this works or not. Check the last post before you run anything. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic442290.html
Are you saving and doing things as an administrator? Did you try to kick it off the domain and rejoin?
I ran Malwarebytes in safe mode and normal. The virus is gone I think . . .but now the damage it did needs to be undone I have tried these . . . I even ran ComboFix I tried changing the workgroup - it is more of a personal network than a true business network. The problem is she has her printer going through THIS COMPUTER and the other machines cannot access it. Rocket River
