You will gamble on Howard, but not on Bynum. Howard can help you to get rings, Bynum likely will not, but both of them have problems.

Can't be worse than Yao's foot. Worth a shot.

This. Exactly why it's not worth a shot.

I wish you Bynum apologists would realize that Kobe is the reason Bynum plays hard, and not Bynum. Who is going to motivate Bynum to play hard when he gets his max deal (besides Bryant?)

Bynum is the 2nd best center in a league WITH 1 GOOD CENTER.

Shaq was the 2nd best center in 1996. Does that make Bynum as good now as Shaq was in 1996?

The thought of the Houston Rockets maxing out Bynum makes me sick. We don't need a Carlos Lee.

I will lose lots of respect for the rockets if we require Bynum, this guy is the worst NBA person I have seen in recent years, he almost killed that small guard in the Mav team two years ago, you just do not want this kind person to be your team leader, then your whole team would be effected.

    He's a turd.

Definitely not someone you want on a team full of young players.

    He's the role model?

    REALLY?

    lol

I'll repeat what I said in another thread. There's a lot less risk in Howard. If Howard leaves Houston, you start over and rebuild. If Bynum becomes Yao Ming in terms of injuries, he stays on the books for 4-5 years at ~$20/yr.

I'll gamble on Bynum. But besides picks, I'm only willing to give up one PF prospect not named Motiejunas.

    hahaha wow

are you serious, this is the NBA.. where were you in the 80's

that foul on Barea was nothing

we will never get anywhere collecting SOFT players. There is a reason why after we got Artest for one year, we made the 2nd round of the playoffs, and pushed the Lakers to 7

    you guys are clueless

How do you figure? It would have to be a 3 way trade with Orlando, right?

Orlando wants picks, young prospects and cap relief. LA has no young prospects, no picks and no cap room. So where do you thing Orlando is going to get those things? It would have to come from Houston. The cost to us is pretty much the same regardless of if it is a three way or two team trade.

Hahah its funny but its the truth, Bynum had less touches but was way more effective than any of Yao's seasons

Even a Brook Lopez got a max these days. Bynum is the 2nd best center in the league and he is only 24! What do you expect?

I am a bit worried about his injury-plagued history. But other than that I would be happy to deal with his problems.

An undeserved max contract. It was stupid of Brooklyn to offer that.

I think Yao Ming is vastly overrated at Clutchfans.

Having said that, I think you're wrong.
