Bring on plan B which is Bynum. I rather have the player that wants to be here and sign a long term contract anyways.

Dwight can never win as the primary guy. It is easy for a very good team to play against Dwight Howard if he's the primary guy. They can either swarm all over him and let his team try to win it or they can just let him score all he want but shut the rest of his teammates down. Look at Yao Ming for example. Yao is a better player than Dwight Howard when healthy but he cannot win it by himself.

It is very hard for Dwight to do most of the scoring and play defense throughout the game. He will be worn out. There are very few centers that can win it all being the primary guy. Shaq, Hakeem, Kareem, Moses Malone, Duncan etc... Those guys are incredibly dominant on the offensive end and able to put up unreal numbers. Dwight isn't as good as any of those players. Dwight Howard kind of reminds me of a David Robinson. He can never win it being the primary guy unless there is someone else that's the number 1 option and he plays 2nd fiddle to that player. To be honest, David Robinson is a much better player than Dwight Howard in my book and he can't win it as the primary guy.

Dwight will choose where he plays in 2012-13. He will have a choice between Orlando and Houston.

All this monkeying around with LA, Cleveland and everybody else is all about being able to get the best offer from the Rockets. Morey already has it dialed in. He's given Hennigan a just slightly better deal for Dwight than Hennigan can configure by going to other teams.

Hennigan is going to go back to Dwight after the Asik signing is complete and ask Dwight if he prefers to play in Orlando for 3 more years or in Houston for 1 year. And Dwight will make the choice between those two options.

Read what I just wrote. Dwight choice is between Houston for 1 year or Orlando for 3 years.

not only that, but if we land asik, Bynum would be the better choice for real basketball reasons.

And if Cleveland and that hypocritical **** Dan Gilbert strolls over, facilitates Howard to L.A. and snatches up Bynum, then what?

I'll take a young, talented 7-footer over a pat on the head for not playing the game.

Yeah cause if you're given a chance to trade for a top 5 center you would totally not do it based on principles right?

    It is a wishful hope.

But it is more than that.

    It is fact.

    Checkmate.

Dwight will have to choose between Houston for 1 year or Orlando for 3 years. There is no conceivable trade LAL can come up with to top what we can do for Orlando without involving us. And there's no way we are going to give away as much for Bynum as for Dwight. It's inevitable at this point. Dwight will have to choose between Houston for a year or Orlando for 3 years.

what you fail to acknowledge is the fact that it doenst matter if LA's deal is better than Morey's deal. Kupchak has gotten something for nothing before and he'll do it again

Who cares what a reporter from realGM has to say? Second, Howard has no say over where he gets traded. Finally, he's not walking away from over $30 million to leave any team that acquires him. If he was all about winning and the extra money meant nothing to him, he'd be in Brooklyn with Deron already as a package free agent deal.

Why is nobody saying in the media saying LA has nothing to offer and assume they get the best center in the league, i.e. most lopsided deal in NBA history??

Go away. Kupchak doesn't have enough nothing left to get something.

Because it's a league fact that L.A. will win on most of these trades just because, i.e Gasol deal.

That's the x-factor in this I think, no matter how unable they are to complete a fair deal for Dwight directly, there's a good chance it could get done just because it's the Lakers.

No real explanation for it, but we've seen this before and there's no reason to believe it can't happen again.
