The more I think about it I think I would rather just go with Bynum instead of Dwight. I think we should/could keep our draft if we go with Bynum, and just give away our future picks, Martin, Morris and maybe PPat. If you really think about it Howard can be a liability at the end of games with his poor free throw shooting and that could cost us games. Bynum on the other hand could play the entire game (if he keeps his temper under control) and finish at the line in the clutch. Bynum, Lin and our young draftees could possibly make some serious noise in the west within a year or two.
Tony Mejia @TonyMejiaNBA "@AQS18: My source is telling me Bulls have already notified @dmorey that they will NOT match." Your source is wrong or non-existent. Abdul Siddiqui aka A_Sidd1990 aka ascaptjack and his fake sources lulz. You mean you read it on Clutchfans?
I have to admit, a core of Lin, Bynum, Parsons and the 3 first-rounders intrigues the hell out of me. That just sounds solid.
Just get a look at the package Cleveland is proposing as the 3rd team getting Bynum : basically Anderson Varejao (team terminating option in 2014 !) & draft picks, probably some cap relief too. How can that be better than Martin (expiring) + Patterson, Morris, eventually Jones ( if just for not to break the deal) + good draft picks + plus cap relief ( 1 or 2 bad contracts)? http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/stor...rs-trade-partner-potential-dwight-howard-deal
Boris Diaw is slower, less athletic, less stronger, and not quit the passer/ballhandler. He doesn't have that swag too. So may I say White is Boris 2.0
What they say about Royce is exactly what they said about Diaw, except Diaw wasn't as strong when he came into the league. One of the most versatile players to ever play the game. He was a guy who was a tweener forward who's basketball skill set was best served as a PG, but he wasn't quick enough to guard them. Royce White would be my first one out of the 3 rookies. I like his potential as a very good and valuable role player, but Lamb and Jones have the higher ceilings, with Jones having the lowest floor, and Lamb probably the highest floor and ceiling.
Haha no longer around here. Looks like he's now trolling on twitter and before, the Magic message board with his 'sources'.
He most likely works for Asik's agent, Andy Miller. That would explain why Morey felt it was necessary to inform him that the Bulls are not going to match. Just a guess though...
Boris Diaw was as quick as White. Just weaker. He does not have the swag. Passing & ballhandling are what Diaw excels at.
They're the FRINGE. Sometimes 1 a-hole can out-display 10 good guys cuz they yap the loudest. But screw 'em lol You've said more basketball informative things in 5 posts than I have in 10 years here. Thanks for the contributions.
Been browsing the forums for a bit, and couldn't help but to point out the fact that you have to give up something, to get something in return. Orlando determines if the Rockets get Dwight or Bynum. You seem to be under the impression that the Rockets are the ones holding all of the cards, which is not the case. While it would be nice for Orlando to unload all of their big contracts and only expect that in return, you're going to have to give up a rookie or two to get a superstar in return, whether it be Andrew Bynum, or Dwight Howard. I see a fair deal between all 3 teams being this: LA receives: Dwight Howard, Duhon, J-Rich LA sends: Ebanks/filler Houston receives: Andrew Bynum, Big Baby Houston sends out: Lamb/Rookie Player/Filler/Toronto-Houston #1 Picks. To me, the Rookie/Filler could be any combination of the rookies Houston has to offer, as long as Orlando ends up with Lamb and Picks, it would be a better situation for them. You simply cannot have your cake and eat it too.
Got fat after getting paid. Spurs signed him, he starts playing best basketball of his life, Spurs pay him over $9 million for 2 years. He can coast for another year and half before he has to start playing for his next pay day.
