I saw it at the bottom on NBA TV, "Glen Robinson will not play vs Hou due to injury."

I dont even have to post a huge match-up thread on this game to tell u that the Rocks are gonna win this game. However, i do have my doubts. The Rocks are notorious for playin down to their competition and what assures me that they wont do that again? Nothing really.....This is a game that the rocks should win easily. the only person i see that might have a below average is Yao just because Ratliff is one of the best defenders in the game. Might is the key word there. Yao SHOULD be able to take the 6'9 Ratliff but Ratliff's physical play might deter Yao from going inside.

If the Rocks dont play down to their competition this game is over by half-time. if they do, it'll be tight. Hopefully we'll all sleep well tonight.

    Players to have good games:
    Atl: Shareef Abdur-Rahim
    Hou: Cuttino Mobley

    Key Matchups:
    Steve Francis vs. Jason Terry
Lets see if Francis can play great defense for 3 straight games. Terry gets his whole team involved if hes going. Francis has to shut him down and get him to miss shots early to ruin his confidence.

    Yao Ming vs. Theo Ratliff
Yao needs to play 7-5 tonight or Ratliff will be able to control him.

    Rocks 95
    Hawks 87

If Steve can stop Terry again, this should be an easy win .
Robinson is not expected to play.
I've enjoyed watching the Rockets the last few games. It's nice to see our big guys more involved in the offence. I hope it continues. We could tie our longest win streak of the year.

I moved to Atlanta about six months ago and have had this day marked on the calendar ever since. THe best part? Atlanta fans are so apathetic they had a coat for tickets giveaway tonight. I gave away an old coat and received two excellent tickets for free.

I cannot wait for the game to start.

It's been years since I felt like this about Rocket games; this team will certainly have it's up and downs, but it's a lot of fun to watch again.

The last few years have been mostly...torture.

Rocket is going to win tonight in convincing fashion. They will blow out the Hawks tonight simply because Ming is going to dominate Theo Ratliff second time around. Because of Ming's inside presence, the Hawk's going to have to shoot from outside, which result in many rebounds for Ming and lots of transition fast-break points for the Cat & Stevie. Rice is alos going to go off for some 3 pointers.

    Prediction:

Game Score: Rockets 107, Hawks 87

    Yao - 25pts, 20 rebs, 5 blocks, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 to, 3 fouls
    Stevie F - 29 pts, 10 rebs, 2 blocks, 6 assists, 3 steals, 4 to, 1 fls
    Rice - 4/8 from 3points, 3 assists, 19 pts
    EG - 17 pts, 14 rebs, 4 blocks, 1 assist, 4 to, 4 fouls
    James Posey - 17 pts, 5 rebs, 2 blocks, 3 steals, 3 fouls

Hope I'm close to right :D

How about steve gives away 4 pts for 4 assists?
    25 pts, 10 rebs, 10 assists, that's a triple double :D

<---- Angry I won't be at the game.

Happy I will be able to see it on TV.

At least some of my relatives will be there. Oh crap, my father is going to be so loud and embarress his first cousins.

    This will be interesting...

I am expecting new threads like "Fire Rudy!" "Tread The CAT", "Bench Rice".... after a loss.

    78-98 Rox loose.

The Rockets continue to beat good teams, and lose to bad teams the game after. They have shown no signs of changing this trend. Already this season, the Rockets have lost to the Clippers (twice), the Knicks (at home), the Warriors (at home), and the Grizzlies. If Houston had been able to win three of those games, they would be the third seed! That is pathetic!

I expect the Rockets to fall behind early, make a run, take a lead, and then choke it away. When the they realize that they could actually lose to a terrible team, they will panic, toss up contested jump shots, and surrender the game.

The Hawks will be out for revenge, while the Rockets will do nothing more than "show up". I expect poor shooting, and a defense that couldn't shut down a team of junior high-schoolers under 5'5".

Then, a week from now, the Rockets will beat the Lakers.

That has been the story of the season.

    Rockets 94 Hawks 81

    Ming: About 20pts, 13boards, 3blocks
    Francis: 27pts, 6asts, 8boards, 5to

Posey will have his 'breakout' game with about 15pts and 6boards, with a few assists and steals.

Robinson isn't playing tonight (according to NBA TV) so I think we "should"
    win fairly easily.

    ROX = 92
    Birds = 78

This prediction hinges ever so gentley on the word should:D .
