    I don't see it as screwing the Knicks. The Rockets really need a PG. Having NY and LA's 4 teams likely out of the FA market for next 2-3 seasons assuming they re-sign top FA's next season is a consolation prize, though. I think Houston isn't at nearly the disadvantage with other teams as they are with those 4.

    Agreed. If anything it just ruins relations for any deals in the future w/ the Knicks. Obviously GMs will still pull the trigger on a good deal no matter what, but I don't think the Rockets and Knicks will have each other on speed dial anymore.

    And I think the Knicks match...which should make for interesting theater in the Knicks locker room next season. Actually I think the Knicks are letting the clock run out just to get back at the Rockets.

    With the Raymnod Felton trade and Stephen A. saying that the Knicks would definitely not match, I was really thinking Lin was coming to Houston... I was getting my hopes up but it doesn't seem that way anymore. I don't see how the Knicks, being a team that is under a lot of pressure from fans and is even willing to spend money on crappy players, can pass up on Lin.
