A bit of editing here but say if by some miracle Chicago matched Asik from Houston, I'd be fine with it.

I'd then see Morey do this...

    1) Waive Jon Brockman, Livingston, Jordan & Forbes (keeping Leuer & Harrelson)
    2) S&T with Courtney Lee to Boston (for whatever we can get, draft pick here would be nice!)
    3) Making the Dwight Howard trade.

    Rockets depth chart: (prediction)

    PG: Lin/Muchado/Fortson
    SG: Lamb/Richardson
    SF: Parsons/Morris
    PF: Motiejunas/Leuer
    C: Howard/Davis/Harrelson

Though if McHale wanted to play based on matchups, they may start Leuer with Davis backing him up at the 4 and Motiejunas backing up Howard. But upside wise, unless Motiejunas falls off a cliff and struggles as an NBA player when the regular season starts, I hope Donuts plays alongside Howard in the starting 5.

I know, I know... Fortson?!?! WTF? But I read yesterday that the Rockets picked up his team option. Dunno why...:confused:

I don't think D-Mo is anywhere near being ready to start. PatPat would start ahead of him if we still had him. I could see us plugging someone else in at PF and having D-Mo come in off the bench.

If we give up PPat, K-Mart, 2- first rounders, and White, Jones for Dwight, Richardson, Big Baby and Duhon...
    THEN
We trade Parsons, C-Lee (if he consents) and D-Mo with several other picks(maybe 2nd round) and a filler to match salaries for Josh Smith...

    Lin/Ish/Duhon
    Lamb/Richardson
    Morris/Richardson
    J-Smooth/Davis
    Dwight/Asik

Lin is a great distributer and good scorer to feed everyone and Lamb/Morris can score well enough along with Smith and Dwight.. We wouldn't be great on wing defense but we'd have amazing paint protection... ALSO Smith can move to the 3 on D to guard Lebron or Durant on occasion since Morris can play the 4 also, they could interchange on offense and defense depending on the match up... That would be a crazy fun team to watch and on top of the Asian persuasion, adding Smith would make Dwight want to stay all the more since theyre long-time friends... Your welcome Morey..

hot garbage is way too strong... his guy can play and knows how to play the point..

Over all he needs a lot of work and time to build his confidence to play in the NBA.

Too young... Too green in the head.

Great skills that kill grown ass men outside of the spotlight.. He can ball.

If Rockets can get Asik, they probably ain't going to trade for DH12.

If we did would that be a bad thing?

Asik's is not a bad guy to add to us right now.. In fact he helps us a lot...

until we really have Lin... then we don't have him.!!

Not even remotely true. Getting Asik has little effect on whether the Rockets will trade for Howard. Can still take back 2 bad contracts in any deal even with both Asik & Lin.

This....even though Pat is a waste of a spot. And no way Lamb will srltart ahead of Richardson. Id bet pinky toes on it.

You guys are getting gassed up over ONE summer league performance. D-Mo most likely won't be the starter when the season STARTS. Could he be the starter by the end of the year? Sure I can definitely see that...

I agree based on the limited sample size of two games he has been polarizingly hot and cold, but remember he signed his contract assuming significant playing time, I see an equal split with pat and motie in playing time, with leuer taking the scraps..

I have no idea where Royce will be played.. A trip down to the valley for him and Jones wouldn't be surprising. Disappointing though

    Lin
    Martin
    Parsons
    Patterson
    Asik

With a FA PG, Lamb, White, Jones, and Donuts off the bench.

That will get us a lottery pick (and we have 2 more to boot, I think). Martin will be off the books next season and cap space will be cleared to sign a real talent. The bones are being put into place to build a strong club.

I really hope (and have hoped from day 1) that the Bulls match this offer sheet.

I get the feeling that DM wants Asik and Lin badly. Think about it. If he does get Dwight, those will be two really good pieces to move come trade deadline. DM always says SandT is the best way to get players. If CP3 does want to play with Dwight offering Lin along with another piece or two come trade deadline might make it happen especially if CP3 makes it clear he won't resign.

    What you guys think?

Am I giving morey too much credit and foresight?

So with us pursuing Asik, is Morey wanting to have a twin towers to anchor the defense down low? Seems like Howard and Asik could switch between the 4 & 5. You would have to think with two seven footers down low, we would be on the right track to becoming a contender! Also, is Asik ready to play that many minutes per game? I'm really excited to see what Morey's end product is!
