That's funny cause Swift and McGee are closer in the IQ department.

    Need some clarification.

Have we submitted the offer sheet for Asik or are we waiting on Lin/Howard?

Actually nvm, I remember from somewhere that you can only pursue 1 RFA at a time.

I get feeling were going to reconstruct Asik's contract offer, just like we did with Jeremy Lin's.

Now that Lin is a [soon to be] Rocket, Asik is up next.

Hard to see us offering him a fourth year.

Yea, that seems like a dealbreaker to Morey. I'm guessing hes setting the rockets up to take some players that other teams want to do dump when the new Luxury tax penalties hit.

I think they might want the Bulls to match now that Lin is possible. Might need the cap space to take ORL's contracts.

Why rescind? We got room. Thanks Arenas rule!

So that way we can go after another star (in the off-season next summer) to pair up with Lin and Howard... Just sayin'.

Before the Scola amnesty, we were set to have room for almost 2 max deals in addition to Dwight. Even with Asik and Lin, we may have room for 1, or almost 1 whole max deal.

Why haven't we signed and submitted the Asik offer sheet yet? We have the cap room for both. Is it a number of players on the roster issue?

Not if we're taking back bad contracts amount at least $10M in addition to Dwight.

    However, this team:

    Lin/Machado
    Lamb/Richardson
    Parsons/Morris
    Motiejunas/Davis
    Howard/Asik

Looks like the best team since the Yao/T-Mac era even without adding another max player. And there's plenty of assets which could be used to trade for a secondary star.

Also told Rockets, even if they unexpectedly land Lin AND Omer Asik, still think they've got Dwight trade offers (yes, plural) to please ORL

I'm guessing on waiting for Jeremy Lin's offer sheet to be matched or declined. Also with Courtney Lee looking for a Sign and Trade. Plus might be difficult to trade for Dwight, take on Richardson, Duhon and Davis, plus Asik if declined.

If we take on Dwight, Richardson, Duhon and Davis it is over $34 million in 2012-13 salaries. Then add on Lin and Asik at $8.3 million each, plus Motiejunas, plus what we will do with Toney Douglas, Gary Forbes, Jon Brockman is unsure.
