i like how the knicks are pissed that we are doing what is best for our team. i personally would have rather offered what was needed for dragic, but for some odd reason, lin has star power and he is better than having duhon run the point.

Remember when Portland sent a letter to all other teams threatening to sue them if they signed Darius Miles? That pissed everyone off too. Remember how teams cut ties with Portland and they were never able to make a trade again? Whoops, that never happened.

Things are forgiven and forgotten in the NBA all the time. Match or not, NY and the other teams will not care what the Rockets do this summer.

I'm betting New York thinks they can just dump Amare before Lin's 3rd year. I think that would solve their luxury tax problems, but who's willing to take Amare's max contract I'm wondering. I guess there's always someone out there. Someone took Rashard Lewis, Gilbert Arenas, and Joe Johnson.

They could probably dump him but they'd have to take back money to make it work. Amare is most likely not going to be a great player at that point. Is there going to be a team that is 20 million under the cap AND willing to absorb Amare?

Or worried about playing without a contract and getting hurt when he just had an injury at the end of last season...

I don't like the fact that people make statements without knowing what's going on.

Lin withdrew because he did not have a contract offer (namely from Knicks) and did not want to make the stupid risk of getting injured without a paycheck.

Why can't Amare be ammnestied again? Prime candidate if his health doesn't hold up.

Anthony Davis had a signed deal when he started playing with them? Blake signed his extension before he started playing with them? Which of our 3 rookies are signed? All 3 are playing summer league ball.

The so called poison pill can be one for the rockets if lin is a 26 game mirage.

8M a year isn't that bad for the Rockets. It's what we paid Dalembert last season. It becomes 15M plus luxury tax for the Knicks which is much worse.

It's a win for the Rockets anyway...the rockets will make a lot of money off him and if he sucks we get a higher draft pick
