This is a dumb thread. Who wouldn't be cheering for the Rockets on here, regardless of the player... I guess I would hold my cheers if we had S. Jackson. fk that guy.

I will give him the LeBron James treatment. If he signs an extension he will get the artest treatment (a total idiot but i would be cool with it)

    Agreed.

Just like if you and your wife have an ugly baby, you can't just shove the thing right back.

There is absolutely no point in NOT welcoming him with open arms and giving him love. We all know he wants to be loved so lets give that to him. If you want the Rockets to succeed...supporters or not of this trade just express your frustration in your own quiet way and then suck it up and give him love VIA twitter. Lets butter him up because it does us no good to hate on him and him leave and then no other superstar come here for a while because of how we treated him.

Nicely said! Good point about other stars not wanting to come here. Every little bit helps.

It's all going to depend on him. If he is half stepping it and acts like he doesn't wa.t to be here he deserves to be boo'd. If he comes here and plays hard and leaves its on our gm as DH has already said he didn't want to be here, then he shouldn't be bood when he returns.

I'm really split on this move.It all depends on which pieces are traded and how bad it cripples us going forward.

As a life long Rocket fan I will always support any player that wears our colors, unless of course they give me a strong reason not to.

I don't even think I'd boo the guy for not re signing ...to me that's all on morey's head.

I just can't wait for the most awkward presser once he comes to Toyota Center.

... But I'm not gonna fall all over the guy either.I wouldn't boo him but until he signs an extension it's just another Beltran in the making.

I don't know very much about salary cap and such however if after one year he doesn't resign with us, what does that do to our team? Do we regain a lot of cap space? So even if he does leave we don't completely have to start again.

    That's all we ask!

Another way to look at this is like the Lebron days in Cleveland. Yes, he DID leave them, but I'm sure they would rather have had him for the limited time instead of being a mediocre team without him, having no excitement in the city at all!

Let's look at the big picture... It's like getting Olajuwon with our first pick, or the Surs drafting Duncan, or Lebron signing in Miami, or Garnett signing with Boston. All these are HUGE moves and IF Morey gets it done, we should celebrate it! I really think many fans just have too narrow of a view. we need to see the BIG PICTURE. It's hardest to get the star, Morey has busted his butt to do this and we are closer than ever. But instead of being happy, everyone is only seeing whatever negatives they can find.

Stop saying "What if... Dwight leaves? What if... He gets injured? What if... They don't sign a point guard?" Morey is working hard for us. He will "git,er done!"

I'm kinda see it your way now after watching the first Summer League game.

I still think this is the right thing to do IF he comes, but part of me wouldn't mind seeing Lamb and Jones develop as well.

The good thing is that we have 2 good options now, instead of perpetual mediocrity.

Especially when he allready told everybody hes not going to sign. This will go down as the dumbest trade ever.It is worth it if he resigns but he allredy said what hes gonna do.At leaste my Saints have a good G.M.
