I know this is pretty early, but let's see what you guys think are the best 1-2 combos in the NBA. I'm not going to assume we're getting a third star since it looks like our cap room won't be able to handle three max players especially if we absorb all those Orlando contracts.

    Poll will be up soon.

I seriously like a potential Dwight Howard-Chris Paul combo.
Chris Paul did pretty well with himself and Tyson back in their NOLA days.

Trade for Howard, then sign Bynum when he become a free agent next year, then bring back JVG. We would hold the other team to 50.

I voted for all of them because we will be blessed to have another star beside D12.

Center and outside shooters. Hakeem :)

BTW Center and 4 outside shooters isn't a 1-2 combo

    Yeah I know lol.
But that option is for the people that would rather get a bunch of role players around one superstar.
I know Hakeem had that option in his first championship year but in his second championship year he had a, albeit diminished, superstar in Clyde.

2 guys who can get their own shot at any time and consistently make the right decision on the court. Position doesn't matter. They need to be surrounded by players who can be influenced by the coaches and buy into the kind of toughness that is needed for a championship run; the kind of toughness our 2009 team had.

C/PF to me. If both are legit, you can shut down any team defensively with your interior D. Then you can run your offense through either and surround them with shooters and defenders.

Well considering we're getting close to grabbing Howard.
I know the title says best 1-2 combo, but this is assuming Howard is one of the members of said 1-2 combo.

Well OP probably meant with the center position in foresight to signing Howard so the only options were with the 5.
